Even after all the transformation and growth their idol has gone through, Swifties remain the exact same petty vengeful immature bullies with herd-mentality and inflated egos they were since 2012 (and has always been, apparently).
Unlike their idol who herself said she wanted to focus on better things, like BLM, LGBTQIA++ rights, criticizing Trump and racism, and generally become a better person, this bunch of fans seem to love taking things into their own hands and executing vengeance their idol might not even support in the first place.
Yesterday evening, I woke up from a nap to these herds bashing me praising illicit affairs from folklore... over some tweet I posted in 2017.
I know damn well I jumped into the hate train over what happened in 2016. I know I then tweeted its continuation as a joke, once, in that 2017. And I do recognize and applaud that she changed for the better. When it was revealed that Kanye was lying all along, I of course denounced him and appreciated Taylor even more for enduring such slander while going through her best transformation. I then apologized for 2016. When folklore came out, I enjoyed them.
So what’s the problem, Swifties? Why were you all of a sudden playing the “I’m more Swiftie than you” card by doing a witchhunt over seemingly ‘new’ fans to then decide whether they are worthy of streaming folklore or not? A lot of people applauded Taylor’s improvements, yet you think you are the best of judges to bash and humilliate people who change their views.
Which one is more natural and humane, Swifties: “switching” because a person was finally vindicated and because a view of why would anyone stay angry if there’s nothing to be angry about OR consistently loving/hating the same person no matter what they did? If you’re mature, you know which one is the right answer.
Need I remind you that Taylor herself, though she has changed, hasn’t repented every mistake she did. That homophobic “Picture To Burn” original lyric? That slut-shaming “Better Than Revenge” song? Those proven claims of her using other new artists’ works (photos, artwork, etc) without credits? Those letters her lawyers sent to various media outlets? Deny it all you want, but in the past she did play victim more than once.
I could bring that up. Those people whom you bring up to bully could bring that up too. But no. We now like her and acknowledge her because she👏🏼has👏🏼changed a.k.a. she is not the same person she was once. Funny that she changed yet y’all Swifties remained the same ignorant spiteful bitches who loves to pick up a fight then act like victims when being shut off.
I thought you, out of all groups, would be the most delighted since it means that people have now accepted Taylor universally so her messages, fights, and also work can also be accepted and appreciated accordingly. I was wrong.
You’re not getting anything by witchhunting old tweets and bullying them. On the contrary, you push potential supporters away from YOUR idol, whom all these times YOU fought so hard to be accepted. Like, do you want her to see that she’s now even more accepted than before or for her to see that no matter what she does, people will dig for her missteps?
You guys bullied ex-haters to deactivation just to show dominance over long-dead incident that Taylor herself has moved on from! Don’t you remember her video of “moving on over forgiving”? Why not apply that to y’all’s bored spiteful fandom lives?
You DO NOT own Taylor’s music, so you have no rights to ban people from listening to (and moreover, APPRECIATING, Jesus Christ...) her music. Also, you’re not in any way a representation of her. She never explicitly stated that “no ex-haters allowed to hear my music”, no? So let changed people enjoy their lives. More importantly, you, this huge hateful bunch, are not even representatives of her whole fanbase. That can’t be possible, because a fandom is not a monolith. It comprises millions of people with different POV, personalities, and intentions.
Taylor has changed, moved on, focused on better things, and summed all her growth and talent to a new album. The album reflects that. You guys should also support her by not intimidating changed people to enjoy the album and appreciate her.
I AM SO PROUD OF THIS,AND IT’S THE FIRST TIME I DRAW PAPYRUS AND I AM SO PROUD
What's the worst fandom you've ever been in?
Kagepro fandom is the spleen of Satan because we care
The following is an excerpt from an article about the worst fandoms in Japan.
"So what makes the fans so terrible? Like a small offshoot of Vocaloid fandom, fans of KagePuro act as if they’re part of a cult. According to the above Twitter post, they go so far as to actively attempt to convert others to their cause."
I'm not gonna say I haven't tried to "convert others to their (our) cause" but isn't that what people in fandoms that care about what they're watching do? They may try to get their friends into it if it means anything to them at all. So the offending idea here is that Kagepro fans want to spread what they like. Okay cool. I didn't think that could make you part of a bad fandom. Japan must have some pretty golden fandoms for that to be the worst.
Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if the writer of the article is just some ass that’s tired of having friends recommend Kagepro to him/her/them and wants to spit fire at the fandom’s balls for attempting to share their joy.
