The rain tapped against the window, the sky outside grey and uninviting, but Katie didn’t mind. Ron’s arms wrapped around her and the cup of tea in her hands kept her warm- his lips brushing against the back of her neck were just a bonus. Katie hummed a little noise of content, brown eyes gazing outside at the downpour. “I think we should stay in. Just tell George you’re not feeling well.” Turning, she caught his lips in a slow kiss, her hand trailing up into his hair before she finally pulled away. “Please?”

He grinned. “I supposed I could do...” he pretended to muse before shooting her another half-smile. “Although, the fact that I already did that an hour ago might mean he would end up somewhat confused...” 

He leaned down to give her another quick kiss. 

“Now, what do you say that we crawl under a large blanket and watch something that you would never be able to talk me into on any other day.”

“Basically?” Katie playfully arched a brow, taking another drink of her beer. “Damn Weasley, I would have thought you’d want to tie me down by now. You better hurry up, that bloke by the door has been eyeing me since we walked in. If you’re not careful I may be leaving with someone else one of these days.” She was teasing, of course, though their relationship status was something she had been thinking about a lot lately.

‘Oh yeah?” he smirked. “First of all, good luck finding someone who can make you make as much noise as you were making this morning. Second, that bloke looks like an idiot.”

He took a sip of his beer, also. “Look at him! He’s got a stupid nose and... actually... not to burst your bubble completely, love, but I think he’s looking at me.”

He snickered. “Apparently, it’s you who better tie me down...”

“When don’t you? You’ve got a while yet, they haven’t even brought the entrees.” Katie couldn’t help the little smirk on her face as she leaned across the table, lowering her voice. “And what do you mean ‘all’ of these clothes? Who said there’s anything on under this dress?”

“Well, entrees can be boxed up as takeaway, can’t they?” Ron retorted, raising an eyebrow and sipping his beer with a smirk. 

Her comment about her possible lack of underwear caused the other eyebrow to raise, as well. “Well, first of all, I think that your dress is clothes enough. Second of all, if you’re not, then that’s just bloody cruel.”

He smirked even more. “And bloody fantastic, if I’m honest.”

Well… this was an unexpected, albeit welcome, surprise. Katie tugged her bottom lip between her teeth when Ron pinned her back against the wall. “Mmm, hello to you, too,” she purred, flexing her wrists beneath his touch and looking up at him expectantly. “Miss me today?”

“Maybe I did,” he smirked, leaning in to place a few kisses along her neck before pulling back to grin. “Why? Are you trying to tell me that you didn’t miss me?”

He had plans for her, of course, but he wanted her to squirm a little bit first.
