(1/?) I'm guessing by wow you mean world of warcraft? if not ignore me. But yeah I would recommend choosing a class that has either a healing or a tanking spec available--dps only can be annoying later if you just want to get through something quickly and don't want to wait forever for a group. I'd join a guild asap. If you're alliance and in the eastern kingdoms don't pay to ride a gryphon btwn ironforge and stormwind bc there's a free train. if you want to move btwn continents there are boats
(2/?) if you have a level boost i wouldn't use it at the start; it's better to level up to it the first time. do dungeons and questing and in dungeons try it with multiple roles (healing, damage, tanking) so you can learn at lower levels (i waited until level 80 to start healing dungeons and this was not a good choice) don't be afraid to google stuff (wowhead and icy-veins are good resources) make sure you learn all the universal professions and choose complimentary chosen ones...
(3/?) for example herbs and alchemy or mining and smithing. even though it can be expensive enchanting might be good just so you can disenchant gear on your main at higher levels. also if you see limited in quantity dust stuff sold by npcs check the auction house to see if it sells for more than you would buy it for; it often does and can make you easy money. if you like to fish the darkmoon faire has especially lucrative fishing. it comes every couple of weeks i believe
(4?/4) if you see ppl waiting around where your boss quest monster is meant to be, invite them to a group! then you all get credit and don't have to wait for it to respawn. max 5 for a group tho for quests. also i would recommend sticking to PvE and not PvP but that could just be personal preference. save up for your first mount bc you're not gonna want to reach that level and not have the money. this is getting way too long and ramble-y so idk have fun and ignore me if u want i'm not an expert
Ahhh!! Thank you so much!! This was sooooo super helpful you wouldn’t imagine!
If anyone else wants to give me more tips, I’d totally appreciate it!
I’m a draenei paladin, so if you guys have anything specifically for my race or class, I’d be super grateful!
For one of my professions I’ve already chosen mining, but I’m not sure what to choose for the other one.
And also, is it worth it to get a pet? What exactly do they do? And where would I get one?
