I was tagged by @witchy-hazel to write 6 facts about myself and then tag 10 people to do the same! Thank you so much, love!

1. I was a junior state champion poultry judge in the state of North Carolina back in 2009. I was on the winning team, and my sister was the top scoring individual junior poultry judge in the state. Yeah, we’re nerds.

2. I’m a musician! I’ve been playing the piano since I was 7, the violin since I was 11, and the guitar since I was about 16. (I’m 24 now.) I was a band kind (percussionist) in high school, and I was heavily involved with church choir as both an alto and soprano singer up until I left the church. Beginning when I was about 13, I was also classically trained to sing, mainly Celtic music. I have now been a singer/songwriter and performer in pubs and music venues since I was about 17 years old, and am currently trying to learn the art of metal screaming. The irony in all this? I still can’t really read music for shit.

3. I was home schooled up until I was in 10th grade, and then I began to attend the local early college in our county for the remainder of high school, taking college classes at the same time that I was fulfilling my high school schedule.

4. After graduating from nursing school in May, I plan to earn my BSN degree and then go on to medical school and become a psychiatrist.

5. I studied Latin since elementary school and now study 10 languages including Spanish, French, German, Italian, Irish, Norwegian, Russian, Greek, Hebrew, and Arabic. Idk how I didn’t get bullied more, tbh.

6. In high school, I was the secretary of the school’s science club, the treasurer of our school’s answer to the TWLOHA Project, and an active participant in art club, creative writing club, and debate team. Now, I’m a volunteer at a local shelter for individuals who have been subjected to domestic violence and sexual assault and am a member of my college’s LGBTQIAP+ organization.

I didn't know that Asians hating westerners cosplaying was actually a thing, but low and behold I looked it up and feel extremely dissatisfied. I cosplay but not because I feel entitled to it, or because I think anime was made for me as a westerner. I cosplay it because I connect with a character on an emotional level and want to portray my love for that series/show. 

But this is saying that pedophiles are strictly a westerner thing because we see children as more than innocence, and I can assure you as a westerner I have never been attracted to a ten year old. Like at all. I'm not saying all people are good or bad, but half of these things are purely situational and basing a hate group of off halfassed and condiluted facts and assumptions really really makes people look like assholes.

Everyones entitled to their opinion i suppose, but I don't think anyones trying to steal anime and cosplaying away from anyone. I think it's a fun hobby that anyone should be able to enjoy, it's 2014, we should really be past this type of thinking.
