The crowd murmured around them. This was bad. The chance Monty would back down in front of a bunch of people was slim to none. Fuck. This wasn’t how he pictured this going and Monty being so high Alex couldn’t influence him via their soulmate bond. “I’m not messing around, Alex,” Monty said, his knuckles white with how strongly he gripped the steering wheel. “Get. out. of. my. way.” He said each word slowly, enunciating through gritted teeth. It was a long shot and it was fucking stupid, but it seemed like the only option left— “Well, if you won’t get out”—Alex tilted his head to the side—“Take me with you?” Monty’s head bounced back against his head rest, his eyes rolling as he let out a big sigh. “Why do you have to be such a buzzkill, Standall?” he said, the corner of his mouth twitching, like he wanted to smile but wouldn’t let himself. “Get in before I change my mind.” So, against his better judgement, Alex got in.

Like I haven’t rewatched og gossip girl in ages and haven’t been attached to the characters at all but dair always spells c o n n e c t i o n to me whenever I see them around. Like the buzz and the potential omg

Hiiiiiii yes I love dair 😭 I will probably never rewatch GG but I don't think a ship has ever recharged a fandom the way dair did to the very specific niche group of Tumblr users who still watched GG in s4 but hated Ch*ck. Like it seriously shook us to our cores. And the fact that it continued into s5 the way it did was like a dream (until it was a nightmare).

Since we both love Ryan, what are some of your favourite moments from him? He's so underrated omg

hmm okay i have to see how many i remember but i'll try to put as many of my favorite ryan moments as possible

the scene in the pilot where his mom kicks him out, ben's acting was so good in that scene 'but mom, where am i gonna go?' broke me

i love him in 1x05, he was so cute, especially with marissa at the pool house

another one of my favourite episodes of his is 1x08, he was amazing there, especially his conversation with julie

i loved him in the oliver arc, specifically 1x17 and 1x18, that was when i started to love him bc he just knew something wasn't right and wanted to protect marissa and his friends even though no-one believed him

in 1x10 his conversation with julie: "this is my life. my daughter" "my girlfriend." just the confidence in the way he said it

i don't like his relationship with lindsay but what i do love about it was how happy ryan was and how cute he was in that time, also him in 2x14 in general

his dynamic with seth is more of a general thing but i love how he always like "can't be bothered" to talk to him but i mean obviously he enjoys it but just the way he knows that he won't have a chance to talk about himself but goes along with the conversation anyway

season 3 ryan definitely wasn't my favorite arc of his but a scene of his that broke my heart was in 3x07 with the punching bag... like we see this boy who for such a long time of his life used his fists in response to a problem... and he's slowly getting better and he manages to hold back but just seeing marissa in danger and not being able to (physically) do anything about it makes him so frustrated and angry and sad and then he just punches that punching bag until his hands are bleeding and watching that i was just like... oh. this guy needs help.

also the fact that he went to live with theresa as a 17 year old, not even knowing if he was the father but basically giving up his whole new, awesome life to care for her is the most ryan atwood thing to do

in 1x03 when he says that he'll unpack later <333

and finally, his facial expressions. he can just look at someone and it's clear what he's thinking and what he wants...
