You can only rewatch ONE scene of Adar forever. Which scene will it be?
Oh i think unquestionably, it's the barn scene for me. Joseph Mawle's Adar will always have the #1 spot in my heart-- no shade whatsoever to Sam Hazeldine. But this scene was EVERYTHING.
It's so subtle, but he is TOTALLY embodying this character and it's just mesmerizing to watch. There's pain, defiance, resignation, even a foreshadowing of the filthy goodness that Sam served us so much of in Season 2 with the knife and the underlying sexual tension with Galadriel.
So yeah. Barn scene on repeat. Forever and ever AMEN.
