A digital zine
dont forget to get really into women's pro baseball in 2026

*this doesnât include individual/Olympic sports! Admittedly, I donât closely follow tennis, the WPGA/golf, Athlos/track and field/running, or other circuit/Grand Prix competitions like swimming, figure skating, extreme sports, etc.
Feel free to add details if those sports are your jam, or if I missed a league you follow!
While the pwhl regular seasons comes to end and playoffs start, I just want to remind everyone that there are other women's sports to support beyond hockey. ESPN is set to introduce all day women's coverage every Sunday(I forgot the official name), it features the wnba and nwsl I believe and there are people trashing on it and I wanna prove them wrong(especially when they talk down on the wnba).
The F1 Academy and NWSL 2026 season are already underway and have made amazing milestones on their own. In addition to that the WNBA is about to enter its 30th year as a league in May with two new expansion teams(preseason started yesterday) and the WPBL is about to make their inaugural season in August.
I'm only mentioning leagues/sports that I watch personally though(I'll go more into depth below the cut), feel free to share any other information by reblogging or in the comments(I'll also put where to watch these leagues there as well)! I don't wanna yap too much about how each sport works cause then I'll just talk about for so long- if you do have questions about F1 Academy I can glady answer those.

From Commissioner Justine Siegal PhD:
"Across the USA and around the world, women have always played baseball. From backyard games with older siblings, to rec leagues across the country, women have found ways to play the sport they love. Baseball is Americaâs pastime, but the professional game hasnât evolved to reflect the diversity of those who play, watch and love this sport. Thatâs about to change. A long time dream is coming into focus: a professional womenâs baseball league for a new generation. The Womenâs Pro Baseball League is here. Weâre creating a stage where elite womenâs baseball players have a place to shine, and establishing a pipeline for every girl who dreams of competing at the highest level one day. A league of their own, for the first time since the AAGPBL of the 1940s. This league is just one part of a larger cultural shift. Women in sports are finally getting the recognition they deserve. Weâre at the beginning of a new chapter and itâs time for our athletes to write their story.Â
What started as an idea is now a reality. Weâre less than five months away from the WPBLâs opening day on August 1st, 2026 and already so much has happened. The world has taken notice of what weâre doing, and hundreds of thousands of people have tuned in to follow along. People just like you. Thank you for supporting this league. For supporting women in baseball. Youâre a part of this. A part of history. The next chapter begins this August. We hope youâll join us in making history."
Games will be aired on various streaming platforms and most importantly, the league's youtube channel.
