"Smokin" featuring the one and only @shalinitin_srivastava in the beautiful Nevada desert. And yes, that's real smoke coming out of that exhaust pipe my friends. I did my normal crazy man thing of walking around the desert collecting everyone else's throw aways, and we made some incredible art with it all. The most challenging part to this was the intense wind on top of it being over 110 degrees. It felt like a heated sand blaster hitting my face as I shot. Cameras fell over, the drone would fly away on its own, the other models huddled in the car until it was their turn to shoot...it was AWESOME. I can't thank this beautiful woman enough for joining me on yet another amazing adventure. I truly do love Shalini and all of the fun and vigor she brings to everything she does. She's a true friend and I love creating art with her. If you do work with Shaliini however you should know one thing....she probably will not stand at the right place for you to pick her up from the airport, so you may have to circle around 6 or 7 times to find her....at midnight lol. Next up? Photocon Kentucky August 28th and 29th!! Creating 🔥 FIRE- shot this yesterday with the truly one of a kind @karmanteena. It's uncanny how we've just clicked creatively. We used smoke bombs (or as she puts it in her Ukrainian accent, GAS BOMBS), the sun, and lighting to bring this all together. A HUGE thanks to @fairytalebyshahu for sending me this dress that I have now purchased because smoke bombs will damage dresses lol. That’s just a heads up to photographers...if you use smoke bombs with gowns you need to buy the dress 😂 🔥 I love Shahu and her gowns so please give her a follow and check out her work. That moment when you’re trying to explain lighting and she blasts you with light 😂...but the shot is so cool you don’t care. Model, MUA, and a Photographer in Training. Miss @karmanteena is something else y’all. The adventure continues out here in Vegas. Day 1 was surreal, Day 2 was crazy...who knows what Day 3 will bring? It’ll be fun to find out.. Life shouldn’t always be certain. That’s boring. Go find something that makes you wonder what’s next without knowing for sure what it will be. It can make for a much fuller and brighter life. And seriously, this gal takes some really awesome pics of me lol. Role Reversal- what happens when you hand your camera to a model on your first shoot together and instead of looking at the pics she starts snapping shots of you lol. Yesterday was so much fun with @karmanteena. She’s clearly beautiful but she’s also got a lot of spunk and the thing that made me laugh the most was how much she wanted to take pics lol. This was completely unplanned as you’ll see in an upcoming video. I handed her the camera so I could adjust the lighting for a video that’s supposed to be about the @sonyalpha 20mm f/1.8. I was in the middle of shooting her but she didn’t care, she told me not to move and started firing away. I tried to help with the posing for myself as we were already using the propane tank as a prop lol. Then when we finished shooting her session and mine I was trying to film a wrap up to the video and she wanted to make sure we got this selfie together before doing so. Really shows off how cool that lens is and the potential that Olga has for photography. Add her Ukrainian accent and the entire thing is just hilarious in a great way. Can’t wait to share more.
