What i ask what are your favourite fantasy races? also have you ever made up your own original race?
My favorite fantasy race is obviously the tieflings-but I have made my own races for my personal use which I think would be great to home brew and play as; but lemme just talk about one
We have the Wraithlings
(Seen here are two siblings, Vio who is heir to the Wraithling throne, and their older sibling Bard who is a warlord)
They are basically living armor and practically unkillable (excluding old age, dying in battle or one of the few diseases they can contract that is specific to their species) They’re like a fusion of Paladins and Barbarians-heavy tank bodies and unrelenting rage. They’re known for being highly unstable emotionally-they just feel things much harder compared to other races.
Their flame like manes change color based on the chemicals in their bodies in accordance to their moods and emotions (purple is the default; the vibrant pink is often associated with infatuation and romantic feelings) they range from 6ft to 8ft tall. They live on a mountainside where they predominantly kill and eat bears-only leaving the mountainside to allow their home’s flora and fauna to recover (and end up terrorizing everything in their war path) Their home is made in the abandoned castle settlements that failed to take (the mountains are not suited for most life).
They don’t seem to comprehend things like gender or that most creatures have one of the two sexual bits, not both like them. Their ruler is called the Imperial Monarch and are known for having ‘harems’ it’s actually a mistranslation; Harem is phonetically close to the word Wraithlings use to refer to their personal court. They do have multiple partners at times to ensure a large pool of heirs (when war is your export, you better have a lot of back up plans) but their primary partner is often very beloved and very spoiled by the Imperial Monarch. Most things known about Wraithlings are midunderstandings because they’re so reclusive and nobody wants to study them.
wraithlings seeing talons hands and angry expression"one of us? one of us"
Talon is involentarily adopted by Wraithlings. Because of His grumpy face, metal arms and tenderness twords soft creatures-they’re just like ‘ah. This is ours’
do you think wraithlings would be good at making prosthetics since there bodys are already effectively metal
Well they’re no good at the fine delicate things-but their armor can be fashioned into prosthetics if you know how to rig them
So they are good at making the parts for prosthetics since they shed their armor as they grow bigger.
Like with the Wraith Witch
wraith withc give talon some new hands
Talon’s prosthetics are probably made from wraithling armor. It’s fairly easy to get ahold of in villages around the base of the mountain range they make their home on since they basically toss their discarded shed armor down the mountainside for fun.
It’s been a while since I drew a Wraithling, so let’s return to the first and best one, Vio the Imperial Monarch Wraithling
The reason why Lyra suddenly looks distressed is that she just realized her 5′5 self is going to be the bride of this 7ft tall (and possibly still growing) 200lb metal beast, who despite being very gentle around everything-is still a 7ft tall 200lb sentient armor
Get you a man whose fantasy of you doesn’t even compare to you in real life he loves you so much.
Get yourself a 7ft tall armored monster named Bard
