Peaceful, huh? Slowly and reluctantly, she set the wrench on the floor, maintaining eye contact with the enemy the entire time.

“They never mentioned anything about this to us,” muttered Miko, half to herself. Maybe that had been to keep them safe, or unafraid at least.

Earth toned eyes followed the path of the wrench to the ground and waited patiently for Miko to release her hold on it. Once the immediate threat was gone, Silas folded his arms behind his back and strode around to stand at her side. “That may be because the nature of the discussion is private.”

“Sometimes the fewer people know about something, the safer things are for everyone.”

The one time that he doesn’t go jogging with the dogs at the ass crack of dawn, of course he’d run into one of the kids. Zeus’ tail seems to wag exponentially harder than it was before seeing Miko, go figure, and Sif was as aloof as ever, but neither move a muscle from their positions leashed at his side. 

“Out for a run. Shouldn’t you be in school right now? Last I checked the school season is back in swing.”

Prime’s response didn’t really surprise Miko, it was more or less known around the base that Optimus wasn’t one for music and creativity, but she figured it didn’t hurt to ask. She strummed again and a new sound sprang forth, something sharp and jarring yet still musical. The guitar’s frets lit up when she pressed upon them, and she took that as a cue to follow the direction which they blinked in. Slowly, a small song pieced itself together and she smiled.

“Is this something I should hide from other humans?” she mused. “I mean Jack, Raf and June are fine but like…host parents and stuff? I don’t know how top secret Cybertronian technology is supposed to be.”

Optimus looked at the instrument again. “I think you could take it home. Perhaps claim it was a present from your birth parents?” He knew there were some places that had a reputation for making variations of current instruments to make them sound different.

I feel like these two are p close in terms on how they think. Like they got this abundance of energy, are ambitious and certainly take ‘you can’t’ as a personal challenge. They are often underestimate and I can see them relating to that, get this whole we’ll show them mindset when together. Which of course can lead to some interesting and potentially dangerous shenanigans.
