Alexander Pennington here with the facts that hurt
Hey writblrs - I’m looking for more active writblr friends specifically who play silly little writing tag games! My notifs have been barren the last month, and tag games really help keep me on track when my motivation is sagging at the end of the day (must write seven lines because random online person tagged me!)
I only write fanfiction, so you don’t need to actually read anything I write, just need friends to play games with!
It's the anniversary of me getting an ao3 account! (Also the anniversary of me actively writing and making probably bad decisions!) And I checked my stats for the word count and apparently I've posted over 120k words there, which is mind blowing to me.
And now I wanna know how much you've written this past year!
100-1k words
1k-10k
10k-50k
50k-150k
150k-200k
More than that! (tag how much!)
Tag the story you've written the most words in!
Writers beware - you're in for a scaaaaaaarrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeee
Go write three sentences on any of your WIPs !!!!
Find The Word Tag
Thanks for the tag, @emelkae! My words were dream, spirit, storm, cruel, dangerous, future and hurt.
From my WIP Moonblood:
Dream:
Zara dragged herself from the warm confines of her bed, shooting Allie a glare as she did so.
“I was having a good dream too,” Zara protested. Dragging her feet, she stood in front of her own dresser. She and Allie had only moved into the dorm a week ago, and the surface of the dresser was already littered with clothes, beauty products, and school supplies. The two had never been the most organized Wolfbloods in the world.
Spirit:
Ahead of them, Fane heard Willow laugh. When he looked up, Jax was in wolf form, running circles around Willow and Chase. The Wolfblood was always trying to keep his friends in high spirits, especially around the full moon. He had a cheerful, optimistic personality Fane was grateful for. When the rest of the pack was anxious, leave it to Jax to ease their minds.
Storm:
The trails surrounding the Haven were beautiful this time of year. The leaves created a perfect canopy over the forest that Breya couldn’t help but love. A storm had come through the night before, adding a fresh, earthy smell to the woods.
Cruel:
“Doesn’t change the fact the I beat you,” Jax said proudly. He puffed out his chest for emphasis. Chase merely crossed his arms and stuck his tongue out at the other Wolfblood.
“You’re all cruel,” he grumbled.
Dangerous:
Because their wolf forms usually manifested quickly and were impossible to predict when, it made things incredibly dangerous when it came to keeping their abilities a secret from humans. A lot of times entire families had to be relocated to keep the Halfblood’s secret from being exposed.
Future:
They were sprawled across Allie’s bed as Zara recounted the events of the day. Zara had told her everything that had happened since they’d gone their seperate ways that morning, mostly centered around the encounter with Willow and her friends.
“I hope this means you’ll listen to me more in the future,” Allie said.
Zara shot her a glare.
Hurt:
“What happened?” she asked as she crossed the room to grab her backpack. She began sifting through it, making sure she had what she needed.
“Raiders took down a few guard patrols on the outskirts. Managed to make it halfway through the camp before they were discovered. Most of them were killed, but the camp’s on lockdown while they make sure there aren't any more still lurking around. Only a couple of wolves were hurt, so that’s good.”
For the people I’m tagging, your words are Tree, Protect, Smile, Night, Loud, Run and Different

Fellow writers....*sips coffee, while staring out the window* Do y'all ever wonder if you're taking your story too seriously? ._.
Don't get me wrong I prefer and enjoy writing heavier subjects, I mean of course, and I know I can make things as serious as I want. But I mean
I think we've all seen stories/media that would have been improved if it took a few moments to not take itself so seriously, like be more self-aware. As in acknowledge a little "this is objectively kinda ridiculous/niche/we know what genre we are" or "Yes this is a bit melodramatic but hey you know" and would have been at the very least a good balance to everything else going on
Any other writblrs and writers worry about that? Or worry about whether they're actually being funny when they put humor in their w.i.ps?
—character scents
i’ve always found my favorite details to write relate to the way a character smells, their natural scent. it just scratches an itch for me as a writer, and i’ll always include it in my stories. so i figured why not give y’all some insight as to the Puppy Eyes cast scents <3 !!
