Project;: Plain old vanilla Ruseng spy au that has been driving me howl and the insane for damn near a year now, i don't fully know how to describe it but it is literally just proper middle-aged ruseng yaoi, ft so many characters. Plus pruame but they're like 14 year old boys so they're operating on its not gay when its with the homies timing. Read it i don't think i can describe it well.

Since I’ve still been feeling down I’ve decided to take that negative energy and use it to go through and write comments to a bunch of stories that I like but haven’t commented on yet. Sometimes it’s because I just need to marinate a bit on the emotions and thoughts that I’m left with after a story or that I’m interrupted - but I don’t always leave comments even when I want to. 

I’ve got quite a backlog, but I decided to make some headway on it today. So, to all those lovely writers and bringers of fanfiction, thank you and I hope you enjoy the comments!

It’s such an odd and foreign concept to me, that writers nowadays have to beg for comments.

When did writing become such an undervalued and underestimated art? When did people start to take stories for granted? Is it because you don’t have to buy expensive brushes or paint? Or because they became so willing to share them for free?

I have seen countless of readers calling out writers on being greedy when they ask for more than alike or the obviously added count on their a view list. Let’s not even speak about the shitstorm, when a writer decides to switch the status of their work to friends only, private or dare to cancel it for good.

And don’t get me wrong, I hate when the latter happens, I get so invested in fictions that I cry for each of the cancelled ones, so yeah cancelling fucks me over.

But I find it often breaks down to three key factors. First, not enough appreciation, the author feels ignored and loses interest, motivation, and inspiration. Second, People becoming toxic and demanding, also resulting in loss of inspiration and motivation. and third, of course, they are also the author's own work ethics, personal mindset, life struggles, etc. to consider, but this isn’t a post about writers, it’s about readers.

Why do readers think that if they can’t be bothered to write a sentence or two of appreciation the writers should feel it’s enough that someone reads it? If you can’t spare the minute in your day, to tell someone you care for their work, why should they feel bothered about your emotions to it?

Writing takes time, it’s mental straining, it’s work,  it is art and it is a craft. 

Please give writers more credit and love.
