Personality: She is independent and strong-willed. Her lively spirit and confident demeanor set her apart from the crowd, especially in Victorian England.
Background: Elizabeth was raised as an only child by her mother and father. Her father tutored her in his free time, allowing her to be educated in ways that middle class women rarely were. As she grew up she came to the conclusion that she wasn’t interested in the life society wanted for her. Her parents helped her acquire a little shop on the edge of town. She was able to pay her parents back and even afford a small apartment.
Current Life: After moving out Elizabeth continued to work at her apothecary and even managed to hire her footman and best friend, Augustus. Over time she developed her own style which set her apart even further. This display of individuality allowed her to become more comfortable with herself and her sexuality.
Are you a mythology nerd at all? I noticed Percy Jackson and immediately thought “Oh somebody else into mythology perhaps?” If so what is your favorite school of mythology. I’m thinking of doing a mythologically grounded poem on a subject like wanderlust or lack thereof lol (couldn’t help it after reading some of your work, I wanted to take an idea of yours and put it in their epic mythological setting or tone).
I'm a huge mythology nerd! Personally my favorite is Greek mythology.

Synopsis: Elizabeth Briar lives her life as loud as possible. From owning her own business to dating as she pleases, Elizabeth Briar lives her life as loudly as possible. Nothing can stop her from being who she is, but her new neighbor witnesses the start of her relationship with Adelia Dossett, her entire life turns upside down.
Characters:
Elizabeth Briar- An out and proud lesbian who is quick to fall head over heels for the stranger bold enough to ask her out
Adelia Dossett- A shy young woman who never thought she would be happily in love, after all, her family would lock her up if they found out.
Augustus Collins- The footman, and best friend, of Elizabeth. Although he loves his job and his best friend, he wishes he could experience life more than he currently does.
Edgar Prescott- The Dossett’s footman. All he wants is to get out from under the foot of the wealthy and prejudiced Dossett family, ideally taking Adelia with him, before their oppression kills them both.
Agnes Misère- An older woman on the same block as Elizabeth. Her stanch belief in god and lifetime of hatred leads her to do the unthinkable.
I’m new to this whole “making my writing public” thing so I hope that I’m getting it right.
This may become part of a WIP, I really do want to expand upon it. If anyone as any tips on how to post WIPs your advice is much appreciated... seriously I have no clue how to go about that, please help.
Well, anyway, let’s get on with the story!
VERY QUICK SUMMARY: A girl learns what love really is.
TW: abuse
She had outgrown fairytales a long time ago.
She stopped beliecing in them wheb she saw what love really did. When she saw how it tore the world apart.
She used to lie awake at night dreaming of her prince charming. She had her happily ever after mapped out. She believed that it would comd true.
Soon she would lie awake at night listening to a war downstairs. Never sleeping, always afraid.
Eventually she fell asleep. In a new world, in a new town, in a new house, in a room. Her world had been split in two by a lovd that had phased out of existence.
It was only when he showed up that she started to believe again. He made her believe that maybe, just maybe, love was capable of finding her.
She had spent her whole life running from love. She had spent so long afraid of love that she didn’t know what it really was. And he took it upon himself to teach her. He made her believe in his kind of love.
His kind of love was bruises in the shape of fingerprints and bright red handprints covering her body. His kind of love was telling her that he was all she would ever have and “don’t you dare walk out that door.” He kept her there by keeping her afraid.
It was only when she met her Princess Charming that she realized what love really was. She slowly guided her in the right direction. Reminding her of all that she was worth, teaching her the right kind of love, showing her safety.
Her bruises faded and her tinged pink skin returned to a healthy hue. Her mind took its time relearning who she was, relearning the feeling of being safe. Her world was rebuilt by real love.
When she had healed just enough she saw what love truly was. It was simple gestures and kind words. It was what her Princess Charming had given her all along.
