Re-Intro: justplainwhump

As I'm nearing a follower milestone, I figured I might as well start another try at telling you guys about me and give you a little re-intro:

Things I love and you'll find on my blog:

Female characters. They're all over the place, whumpees and whumpers alike, and they get hurt and they survive. I don't like the term "lady whump" much, because it doesn't have an opposite and I feel it's used to puts a wall between "dude whump" and the rest. However, a lot of what I write falls into this category, and proudly so. I love women.

Nsfwhump. This is an 18+ blog on purpose, and directed towards adults. I don't exclusively write nsfw, but many of the themes and tropes I enjoy to explore are tied into it, and I don't draw a strict line. Intimate whumpers or those who use intimacy to hurt others fascinate me, so do whumpees recovering from it.

BBU. Again, this is not everything I do; but right now a majority of my stories is set in that wonderful collaborative dystopian universe. I love the worldbuilding and the opportunities arising from it; the mundanity of evil, the systematic approach of entirely erasing people's character, and all the conflicts arising from it. (Personally, I wouldn't describe what I'm writing as "pet whump", and will still say pet whump squicks me, idk, do with that information as you will).

Synopsis:

Kosmos was once a great empire, split into three when power and greed forced men to rip the lands apart. Now three mighty kingdoms stand in its place, and yet remnants of the curses of the ancient empire still linger up to this day.

The exiled heir to a powerful bloodline, Nyx Asteria wants nothing to do with curses and ancient empires. All she wants is to remove the seal burning on her back that forces her magic to feed on her own veins and carry on quietly as the handmaiden to the Duke’s Daughter. Just as she’s getting used to her new job and identity, she becomes an offering to the pirate captain of the Shadow.

So Nyx does what she does best and bargains for her life, entering what is already a shaky agreement and turning it into a soul-binding contract. Never mind that she can’t even do magic without feeling like she’s dying. Never mind that she’s with a band of peculiar pirates, united by their own selfish goals. Never mind that their captain’s notoriety reaches the ends of worlds, bordering on legend at best and sounding like fabrications at worst.

Nyx knew, though. The first time she saw him, she knew he was just a Dead Man Walking.

Kosmos:

↺ Lurez - used to hold the center of power in the entire Kosmos, thereby referred to as the Empire. Highly strict and religious, Lurez is intolerant of the magefolk, as they believe all power should only come from the Divine, and the Divine's Chosen, which is the Imperial Family.

↺ Mignoa - as the most recent territory that earned its independence from Lurez, Mignoa has a weak government, its resources often exploited by Lurez. Known for the Dead Lands, a region in their kingdom where no life grows.

↺ Valhalle - the center for magefolk activity, Valhalle is ruled by a King and their Ten Generals. Magefolks are represented by the High Council, but do not hold government power as what they learned from previous incited wars.

Some territories of the Kosmos are still unknown and uncharted.

Hello! Since its been a hell of a long time since my original writeblr intro, and I’ve gained plenty of followers over time since then, so might as well reintroduce myself! 

About Me:

My name is Jason, I’m a young adult trans guy (he/him), and bisexual. I’m currently taking full-time university classes double majoring in Psychology (mainly) and Creative Writing (secondary). I’m Canadian!

I’ve been writing fiction in some capacity basically my entire life, since elementary school. But I only started writing frequently / seriously in high school.

My WIPs:

I almost exclusively write fantasy, usually involving mythological creatures like dragons, mermaids, sirens, selkies, werewolves, vampires, etc! Always involving magic and many LGBTQ+ characters! I also occasionally write and post short stories which you can find here.

A Selkie’s Home - Main WIP

What happens when a mistrusting selkie woman, a man who is secretly a sea monster, a man who yearns to sail, and a powerful monster hunting sea witch all end up stuck together? A chaotic adventure full of magic, secrets, bloody sword fights, friendship, and love as the group uncovers evils both above and below the waves.

Dragons Of The Forge

A cyberpunk world where many unique kinds of dragons live side by side with humans, and a dictator rules. A mlm / gay deaf MC Oliver, his crush Sammy who uses a wheelchair, and their friend Savannah who has ADHD each have their own dragon partners. But when the dictator outlaws dragon prosthetics and decrees that every dragon that is disabled or unable to work perfectly should be killed immediately, Oliver, Sammy, and Savannah must go on the run and find a way to save their dragons.

A Witch’s Curse

The sequel to A Selkie’s Home and 2nd book in the trilogy. In A Witch’s Curse, Lorelai, a sea witch, finds herself on a tiny ship when suddenly the flashbacks of her traumatic past begin to haunt and disturb her much, much more frequently than they have in a long time. But when a horde of strangely crazed violent selkies begin attacking the group, it’s not Lorelai’s traumatic past that is brought to life– it’s Morgan’s, the selkie on board. When Morgan flees into the sea, she has no idea that she is leading all of them towards new discoveries, new friends, and right into the hands of their enemy: The Navy.
