writer's log

its been a rough couple of days so I decided to just work on editing today, got about halfway through chapter 3 (right before the first big shootout!), and then promptly got distracted looking up how much a Dakotaraptor would feasibly weigh and realizing I'd undershot it by 200 lbs. This was promptly followed by tumbling down the Wikipedia dinosaur rabbit hole and finding so many more raptors than I knew existed!!! And also determining that Lacey and most of the other raptors used for riding are probably Dakotaraptors since they're theorized to be pursuit predators and made for running fast, vs Utahraptors that are theorized to be ambush predators!

(velociraptors are just kinda treated as murder chickens or incredibly deadly housecats in this world, they're so small and pickupable! Little guys, adorably fatal little guys!!)

I just want to bask in this glorious light-energy I'm feeling today.

When I woke up today I was cranky and wasn't feeling all too well but my lover was there for me and now as I sit here writing this I am as joyous as can be.

I know I am not alone when I say I have a lot of people who love and care about me in my life. I am surrounded by love and because I choose to see that and put love into the universe it is thus returned to me in the same likeness of the energy I give out.

I know quite a few people who are so fixated on their negative thoughts that they actually believe nobody cares about them nor loves them. Not even their own family. If you are one of those people and you are reading this heed my words carefully: You have love all around you. There are people in your life who care about you more than you know but you only see what you choose to see and you only accept the love you think you deserve.

Open your eyes to the light

And open your heart to the love

That surrounds you

At all times.
