Here, the stories lean dark — but the fire never really goes out.
We walk the edge of old forests and ruined halls with muddy boots, where the air tastes of rain on stone, ritual herbs, and candle smoke.
I write character-driven dark fantasy — worlds where magic hums low in the bones, leaves scars, and changes the people who carry it. Where history weighs heavy, and survival often comes at a cost.
I build worlds from fragments — burnt letters, old crests, whispered threats in the dark. Sometimes those worlds become short stories for my original characters I cosplay, the stories of my D&D characters told in prose.
You’ll find quiet rebellions and desperate bargains, blades drawn in silence, and moments of warmth lit against the cold.
If you like your fantasy with atmosphere — with scars and hope in equal measure — you might feel at home here.
Hi!!! I'm Cyrah, a writer currently taking a break from working on my debut novel, My Love For You Is Amaranthine, to take a breather and reconnect with why I started writing in the first place—for fun, creativity, and the passion and joy that comes from it.
If you want to support a young writer, or just want a small piece written with care, feel free to check out my commission info and DM me anytime! 💌

How It Works For Writing Commissions:
Send me what you’re looking for (genre, plot, characters, specifics, etc.)
I’ll confirm if I can take the commission and give a time estimate
Once I’m set up for payments: 50% upfront payment → Wait → I’ll send a writing preview
Approval → Final payment → I deliver the full piece
The initial 50% payment that is made upfront is non-refundable, as once the payment has been made, I will start working on your piece, and the 50% upfront payment is to cover for any work that has been done to your piece. Once you decide to cancel your commission, I will give you the piece that has been worked on so that you may do with it as you wish.

Rates and Pricing for Editing and Proofreading Commissions:
Services (NZD) Rate
Proofreading $3 per page
Light editing $4 per page
Heavy editing $10 per page
Please note: When you hire me as an editor, I will do an overall quality check, help work on clarity and structure for your piece of writing, and will help with the flow. However, if you hire me as a proofreader, I will do surface-level checks for small mistakes like typos, spelling errors, grammatical errors, and formatting. Overall, editors are someone you hire when you want to focus on the bigger picture, while proofreaders are someone you hire when you want to just dust over the work.
How It Works For Editing and Proofreading Commissions:
Send me what you want me to look over and work on (genre, plot, type of writing, number of pages, specifics, etc of your piece of writing.)
I’ll confirm if I can take the commission and give a time estimate
We work out the number of instalments you are willing to do
Based on the number of pages that you would like me to go through, we can work on establishing a payment plan where you pay me in installments.
After I have gone through a certain number of pages, you send me the chunk of money for that installment.
Failing to send the installment of money will result in me putting a pause on your work until you decide to cancel the commission in which I will no longer edit your work, or I will not go through your work until you decide to pay me the installment.
You enjoy your edited and proofread work, I can buy food after school

I'm gonna be a lil' greedy and do another round of searching for beta readers. i just want 2 more for tdrc (x) and 1 more for it's fairytale au (x). that's all, send an ask, reply, if you're interested and available. those are my main two caveats. read the linked posts for further details. adios, thanks.
i ain't puttin' it in the beta reader call tag or whatever bc there seems to be some sus users, lol.
here's a little video i made for APOTHEOSIS (i'm giving tt/ig a try, so i must offer this sacrifice up to the shortform content gods)
[Video Description: A series of short clips in black and white, each with the word Apotheosis overlaid. In order, the clips are of: a close-up of the moon, a censer, an aerial view of a mountain, a candle with a figure behind it reading, a cathedral window, the forest with the sun setting behind trees, a person with their brow pressed to an out-of-frame photo, and the ornately engraved outside of a cathedral.]
Heya everyone. It's been a while, a long while. I joined Tumblr for my writing years ago, and posting has been hot and cold since I first joined. As such this is my reintroduction into all things writeblr.

My writing changes quickly with each of my moods. I usually stay close to romance as a subgenre but can write anything from murder mystery to fantasy. And because of this, I have a very large number of current works in progress.
For this introduction, I am going to introduce two of my most prominent Works In Progress.

P r o j e c t S n o w || YA Urban Fantasy
In a world overtaken by werewolves, humans have been tightly restricted in their day-to-day life. They fell quickly from the highest point on the food chain to a spot that's left them scavengers in the world they used to rule. When a female human is out past curfew she finds the world is a darker, horrible place she never could have imagined.

I'm going to get better at saying this on individual posts because of course there's no reason for anyone to assume something I don't actually say, but please know that any time I do a tag game, you are absolutely welcome to jump on and do it too.
Please consider my writeblr game activity to be a perpetual repository of open taggery, an endless and inclusive invitation to anyone who wants to join in. Do the thing, @ me, say I tagged you. It's all good.
This place is all about community and I know it can be super hard to start getting involved with things if you aren't being personally tagged or you're new or you've been away for a while or you just don't know a lot of people.
So, for what it's worth, I want you to get all up in my tags. I want to see excerpts from your WIPs and read about your characters. And if you're new to all this and are worried about tagging people you don't know very well, you're welcome to tag me. You can also just do your post and say it's an open tag.
I feel so lucky to have landed in this welcoming little corner of writeblr and if you're seeing this I want you to feel those good vibes too 💗
