I'm really happy and grateful to be apart of their review team. What I loved about this collection of poetry is how many topics are covered! I really felt that I got to know so much about Selin and her principles. The first section felt a lot like a response to the state of the world right now. I loved how much nature had a role in the poems. After watching David Attenborough's new film, it really felt like Selin's witness statement, which was great to see in a modern poetry collection and really helps me to feel hopeful. From heartbreak to mental health, to family relationships, I was taken on a journey that felt like Selin's life. It is a very honest collection that truly inspired me. I took it slow while reading this collection because I wanted to savour each poem and really connect with the words. I appreciated this different experiences Selin has been through even if I haven't been through them myself. This meant that I couldn't relate to everything. It's definitely a collection I'll come back to later in life as I'm sure with experience I will connect with different things.
