Pictures

I wrote this whilst in pure boredom, if u guys have any requests pls send because it seems all ideas have left my mind. Sorry for any grammatical errors!!

Within MC’s room, there is almost a whole drawer (if not two) dedicated solely to pictures of everyone. Pictures range from the candid Polaroids to photobooth prints, all placed in neat piles or kept within the pages of photo books, messy annotations written with arrows dotted around every single photograph lovingly.

To be honest, MC probably has enough pictures to make a personalised photobook book of everyone,if they really wanted to.

And so, whenever they’re feeling down, it’s more than likely that anyone near their door (if quiet enough) will hear a lock opening accompanied by the sound of colliding wood as the sacred drawer opens. Then, pulling out a picture book and flipping through pages, a gentle smile returns to their face,along with an occasional laugh.

Hi! Do you have any advice on how to start a story? I have ideas but I can’t form it onto paper. What’s a good way to get past writers block?

If it’s just writers block getting you down, my two biggest pieces of advice are to plan your story out - create a skeleton structure so you know where you story is going and what major events it will contain, as well as how you will build tension, and how you will resolve the problem/s in the story. Sometimes writers block can come about because we don’t know where we’re going or what will come next - or how to get our characters there. By planning you are creating a road map for yourself.

Secondly, if you have terrible writers block and are having trouble starting, my advice is to pick a scene or moment that appeals to you - and write that. You don’t need to start at the beginning; you can start anywhere! Writing can be like a dam bursting and once you have starting writing, it’s easier to go back and write the parts that were giving you trouble.

I hope this makes sense. It’s 2.45am am and I’m a little sleepy!

How do I even go about getting writer friends I can chat with and talk to and trade stories and experiences with?

"What do you know about love?" I know it's messy. I know someone always gets hurt. "That's a little pessimistic don't you think?" It's the truth. Everyone eventually gets tired of your crap and leaves, or something worse happens. "Which is?" They do something horrifying, something so awful you almost throw up because you feel so disgusting for trusting someone. For loving someone who could be so cruel. "Have you been in love?" That's a silly question. "How so?" Only someone who has been in love of many forms and watched it fail and crumple beneath them would answer your questions like this. "So, what do you know about love?" I know it causes a high that no drug will ever give you, and I know that once it's over your body will shake the next time someone tries to touch it; and you'll see your first high in everybody.
