You are not a bad person for being unable to help in every world crisis.
You are not siding with the opressor for scrolling past one video
How you engage online is not a full reflection of your irl morals.
You are allowed to curate your social media in a way that brings you peace.
You are not a bad person or moral failure for not being up to date on every world issue.
People who say "if you care about x, if you don't engage y is going to die, if you ignore this you're siding with the opressor" etc are engagement farming, and yes its to get the word out to people who can help, but it doesn't have to come at the cost of your sanity.
I don’t get why min-maxing mindset language learners are so concerned about beginners learning “useless” vocabulary. That’s the fun stuff.

Video game terminology for strategies that involve the least amount of effort for the most amount of results. Usually done after a lot of thorough planning and studying of the game mechanics.
Some people also attempt to apply this logic to real life situations to varying degrees of success and/or obnoxiousness.
When I describe a language learner as having a min-maxing mindset I’m talking about people who try to plan their studying so meticulously that they try to be functionally conversational in less than three months and have their study schedule planned out to the day. In other words, treating language learning like min-max grinding in a video game.
A lot of these people only see language learning as a means to have forced small talk with strangers and functionally survive in a region and don’t understand why some people don’t approach studying the same way that they do. They can be kind of annoying and can turn curious people away from the hobby.

unfortunately i dont think its queerbaiting if the creator is just so terminally heterosexual that they never remotely considered the same gender relationship their show is centered around could be read as romantic. it is deeply painful however.

By definition you can't accidentally queerbait. Queerbaiting is specifically using a same sex pair from the show to market the show to queer audiences with no intention of ever following through on a romantic relationship.
There is officially licensed Destiel merch signed off on by Kripke. Teen Wolf had a commercial with the actors for Derek and Stiles draped over each other talking about being "on a ship." Both shows actively used scenes between them as marketing while actively mocking fans for wanting them together. Sherlock has multiple characters refer to Johnlock as a couple, including characters we're supposed to believe are never wrong about human behavior and pushed those scenes in marketing. Then they acted insulted when fans saw them as a couple.
That's queerbaiting.
Done on accident it would just be queer subtext. Done because they had no other choice due to censorship is queer coding.
The specific meaning of the word is really starting to get lost and it's a pretty important one to keep accurate. It describes a very specific phenomenon that was done repeatedly and maliciously for decades and is meant to examine that specifically.
Doing it on accident sucks, but it isn't a tactic of capitalism intentionally intended to suppress queer representation while making money from queer fans.
