8th Book of Binderary
This is one of my favorite James Bond fics. It’s set in a world where everyone has a “knack,” from being super persuasive (Bond) to making the perfect cup of tea (R). Q has been hiding his skill since he was a child. Beyond excellent worldbuilding and a really fun storyline, this story has great side characters - especially 001 and Danielle (R). Not sure if the author has a tumblr, so I'm not able to tag them here.
Another surprise Second Snow Day typesetting session, and another attempt at an illustrated cover page, although I’m not as thrilled with how it turned out. I do like how nice and dense the body font (centaur) made the text block, though. Copperplate Gothic for nice simple titles & headers. The whole thing just feels very solid and square, and I am here for it.
I tried some Dollar Tree HTV for the spine title this time around, and it worked like a charm. It’s pretty thick so I’m not sure how it would do with a more fiddly cut, but I will definitely be using it again. Cover and endpapers are various scrapbook papers I’ve had in my stash for a decade or so, but I like how they all worked together.
