And sometimes we refuse that call.⠀ ⠀ There are many myths and classic stories where the soon-to-be hero first refuses the call to adventure.⠀ ⠀ Sometimes the refusal is "a refusal to give up what one takes to be one's own interest." We don't want to step out of our comfort zone.⠀ ⠀ But other times we are latent until the subconscious is ready. A moment of revelation is coming. A transformation that "carries the call to a plane of new magnitudes."⠀ ⠀ Campbell says that willed introversion is one of the classic implements of creative genius, and can be employed deliberately.
