I just made a connection after listing my dumb random crossovers for the Ice Bros that finally settled for me my hc for the Ice Sister and also for Frost
I’ve always wondered if Frost could be the Ice Sister, who eventually found the Lin Kuei and doesn’t remember her brothers or father but figured her powers on her own. My big trouble was her age. I am not sure of what her canon age is (in any timeline) but she is usually portrayed in the fandom as being Cassie’s age, probably because of the comics, and she is Kuai’s daughter figure so at least in the second timeline she may be young enough to be his daughter. I understand vaguely that in the first timeline Kuai had accelerated aging because of the medallion and all that, so I have even less reference for what their age difference is supposed to be
But my hc has always been that Kuai was taken to the Lin Kuei when he was very young, young enough to not have memories of his mother himself. And I think Ice Sister is younger than him, her age maybe one possible reason she wasn’t taken too (being apparently powerless at the time being another, though she eventually developed powers, and sexism yet another). But she can’t be too much younger than him, because she was already born when he was taken, and I also believe their mother was killed that same day
Very little of all of this is actual verified canon, I am just very attached to all these ideas, and they make it impossible for Frost to be the Ice Sister
But what if Frost is the Ice Sister’s daughter, the Ice Niece if you will?
This actually fits my Frost hcs, to which I am not super attached but it is nice it fits. Which is that Frost’s parents didn’t have powers, and weren’t involved with the Lin Kuei at all, or any other faction. They were just normal people living normal lives (an alternate hc I have is that one of them had powers, but never used them for fighting or anything big). Ice Sister survived and ended up in an orphanage (in the US bc I believe the family lived there) and then led a regular life without any magic or powers. Doesn’t remember her parents much, never learned about her cryomancer heritage. Frost was born with powers (and very strong!) and ended up researching on her own, finding out about the Lin Kuei, which was already in Kuai’s hands, and moved to China to join
She and Kuai never learned of their blood relation. Kuai doesn’t even know he had a sister, Bi-Han was the only one who remembered. And idk, maybe Bi-Han does see his sister in Frost, and it makes him even grumpier. Also Frost doesn’t even know from which parent she got the cryomancer blood from
