Ugh!! I was born in the wrong century to be with a man. Like where are those years of courting and secretly stealing my glove and exchanging letters for decades. Like what is wrong with them!!

ok but like... why is everything so complicated now???? like if i lived back then and i was rich i could just be like “yes im moving to england to a mansion and have servants and wear ballgowns everywhere” or “im going to vanish into the scottish countryside to tend to my sheep in a small hut and wear a cloak and carry a walking stick with me and not talk to anyone except when i sell herbs to the townspeople”   like what the heck is up with that??? why cant it be that easy
