Hahahaha... last thing I saw on my bsky dash before my Tumblr dash finally came back. Thank you, destiel, you were (apparently) my only hope.

Some fannish forecasting takes are just utterly baffling …
Until you discover the forecaster loves Tommy Kinard and dislikes Eddie Diaz.
To wit: This.
in promising irl news today. I dropped all three of my household's ballots off in the box today. and that particular box is at an early voting location and it was busy enough they'd overtaken the MVA lot next door, too 😅😘
Behold the Rescue Plant. Someone put it in the Dumpster last Autumn and it was very dead-looking. I nabbed it to use the pot. But a couple weeks ago I discovered that it lives!
Um, what is it?
Wtf... Neither Tumblr nor bsky (apps or sites) are loading with my phone on wifi. Other apps and sites are fine with wifi. Turn wifi off just as a why-not test deal, Tumblr & bsky both work again. Only the two are having any problems, everything else is fine.
Hrmmm... I think what I need to do for my indexes is find very old, very unimportant posts on this blog, and re-purpose them as new index posts going forward. That'll at least force the old editor for them and give me back expected functionality.
Finding the new editor extremely aggravating. I can't copy and paste text within (or from) ordered or unordered lists in (or between) posts created with the new editor (something I'm used to doing several times daily on this blog). The link limit has gone from a soft limit of 200-odd links (you can include more, it'll just not display any except in editing mode) to a hard limit of 100 (can't save at all as soon as you hit 101). Images with transparency are getting cropped for display instead of left at their original dimensions (worse, they're getting badly cropped, as in missing parts of the original image). You often can't copy and paste more than a single paragraph at a time (no doing select alls) unless you do it in HTML mode, and even if doing a test paste outside of Tumblr shows that text has made it onto the clipboard, you often can't paste it within Tumblr. And on the times where it actually does copy and paste successfully, it's frequently missing links, formatting, and sometimes entire lines of text.
This is infuriatingly buggy for something that we're being forced to adopt.
A couple of years back all my Tumblr ads for like a month were coffins and funerals and life insurance, and it was a little weird. But today Tumblr decided to get more direct with its ominous advertising.
Exhibit 1:
Thanks, Tumblr. I hate it.
