Just finished rewatching Stitchers and now I want to watch something exactly like Stitchers but different.
i think we should all get a discount for having been veterans of a thousand psychic wars
If you've been livin' on the edge so long, where the winds of limbo roar, you may be entitled to compensation
Few more liberating feelings than realising 'oh shit, I'm allowed to dislike this thing.'
Sergeant Colon owed thirty years of happy marriage to the fact that Mrs Colon worked all day and Sergeant Colon worked all night. They communicated by means of notes. He got her tea ready before he left at night, she left his breakfast nice and hot in the oven in the mornings. They had three grown-up children, all born, Vimes had assumed, as a result of extremely persuasive handwriting.

Posting random gifsets of media I love but which isn't very visible online like a fishing simulator to see which of my followers bites.
OK, so I was like 'I'll just rewatch Charmed, have a fun silly time watching the fun silly show I thought was awesome when I was like... 14.' And then I got to season 3 and apparently I am still a sucker for the toxic het of Cole Turner and Phoebe Halliwell in its earliest stages. I know Seasons 4 and 5 destroy the ship thoroughly. Maybe I should just skip to season 6 where there's time travel and I love it again.
In my heart, what I want is a Phoebe/Cole/Coop epic throuple fic. (Because Coop was a good idea, but way too rushed to be satisfying). Where the show stops with its absolutist rhetoric of 'oh, but Cole's part demon therefore he can't help but be evil and he has to die to gain redemption, and we will repeat this plot point over and over to hammer home that genetics and trauma are inescapable.' Such bullshit. The writers did the thing where they fuck with a ship for drama and it failed miserably.
What I'm saying is: give Phoebe and Cole relationship problems, and then have them save a cupid and have him try to repay them by solving their relationship problems, but fall in love with both of them. Do you see my vision?
No, you don't, because I'm talking about a show that went off the air almost 2 decades ago and a ship that was made utterly rancid by canon (and honestly, was always toxic, which I know is no longer permitted by the great fandom council) combined with a ship that was the fandom equivalent of toast that has never seen the toaster, hell, it might be the fandom equivalent of raw dough. But do you see my vision?
TFW you stumble back into a fandom you thought you were safe from
Sometimes I feel like I ask too much of novels.
Some days you're just like 'that fic I started writing 3 years ago, I wonder if it was any good' then you read it and it turns out that you wrote over 100k on it and you have an entire colour-coded spreadsheet plan and that 100k isn't even the first act of the story, really, and the plan looks so good, but it would be another 300k to write and you haven't written in that fandom for 3 years and holy shit was this an ambitious plan, but you've just read the 100k words you did write and you have no idea how to follow them, but it's actually kind of good.
Which is all to say, apparently I really hyperfocused on this Steddie Fantasy AU and I wish I had the drive to finish it.
But also, Nancy and Jonathan disappear for like 90% of the colour-coded plot spreadsheet.
Sometimes the demons in me see a tumblr poll about a fandom I'm not in and they want to pick an answer at random just for funsies, and sometimes I chain them back up, but sometimes the force of chaos is too strong.
TFW you see a fic in your tag on AO3 with a summary saying 'I'm disappointed in us that no one has done X before' when X is something you think of as one of the most common tropes in the tag, you have read it at least 50 times before and seen entire in-depth Tumblr posts about for years.
My dude... what alternate universe did you just portal in from?
Wednesday set-up: monster fucker paradise
Wednesday actually: terrified of the monster fucking.
Why can the Internet not just spontaneously create new fic for me when I run out?
