Sofia’s breath came heavy from her lungs, pushed through lips parted in a wide, satisfied smile. Before Josie had come to visit, they had been painted a deep red ---now, the colour was faded, traces of it likely to be found scattered over Josie’s skin. The tension in the air between them had dissolved considerably, as it always did after they were finished with one another. Slowly, Sofia took a lazy roll onto her stomach and propped herself up on her elbows. She picked up her phone from the nightstand and flicked through her notifications, speaking up as she did so.
“So, when are you planning on telling your boy toy that we’re in love?”
For a moment, she glanced at Josie and smirked at her, brows raised in taunting anticipation. Perhaps she was pushing her luck this time, but she couldn’t help herself. She made a point to ignore her phone as she waited for an answer, eager to discover whether or not her bedmate would play along.
