Hey. Hot day today, isn't it?
now that I know that you're not coming back
should I be angry or should I be sad?
Boys of Fall - Finding Home
What are your top 5 albums of all time?
Misadventures - Pierce The Veil. A rather obvious one, but this is the very album that started it all for me. If not for Misadventures, I never would have loved music and bands the way that I do now. It will always be my number one favourite because it's such a perfect album with meaningful and beautiful songs that I'll never get tired of, and because of all the fond memories it holds for me. I'm barely exaggerating when I say it pretty much singlehandedly changed my entire life.
Mothership - Dance Gavin Dance. Honestly, there was much frustrated grinding and gnashing of teeth trying to pick just a single DGD album out of all of them, but I went with this one in the end because it's really what got me into the band more in the first place. Every single song is a straight banger, everyone is peak performance here, listening to it makes me wanna summon a legion of ancient evil spirits and have a dance party, it's just overall fucking gorgeous.
Hyperreal - Makari // Precipice - WVNDER. Okay maybe this is kind of cheating, but I could never make my mind up and I adore them both with my whole heart equally so this is only fair. I found these albums at relatively the same time and both bands have Andy Cizek as their vocalist anyway, so it totally counts. These albums are basically like pure, concentrated, raw emotional chaos in a bottle—but in a good way because it got me through so much shit last year and it still does as of now. Also, because, y'know, Andy.
Undying Shadow - Nik Nocturnal. I'm not usually a big fan of instrumental songs but this album made me change my mind about it, and then some. Nik was also a huge part of the reason why I got really obsessed with metal/djent, so there's that too. It's a great album that helps me to learn more about the guitar technical-wise, stay focused when I'm doing other things, and it's always a hell of a time just jamming out to it. Man's got mad fuckin' guitar skills, I'll tell you that much.
Highway To Hell - AC/DC. I went through a huge classic rock phase when I was around 16, and this was the first band I grew super-crazed with (I was also a bit of a chronic Bon-head during the time lmao). This is the album that made me badly want to learn to play the guitar; and with its classic tongue-in-cheek songs and gritty old school riffs that could still bring down the entire house, it's always a very nostalgic album for me.

(Also a gracious honourable mention has to go to: Where The Mind Wants To Go/Where You Let It Go - I The Mighty, because it's my current most favourite album right now. It's just one of those rare albums I didn't expect to like but I ended up loving literally all the songs in it through and through because they sound so hauntingly amazing and I've been listening to it five times a day back to back for over a month now this is not a joke send help pls)
