Swim No. 23 - St Brélades Bay (the quiet end) This beach was voted the third best beach in Britain not long ago and it easy to see why. Sandy, gently sloping toward the sea, safe to swim and to top it all a range of places to eat and drink or stay overnight or have a spa day. St Brélade’s is perhaps the most built up seafront in Jersey other than Havres Des Pas but the buildings don’t detract from the bay’s natural features. The eastern end is my favourite place to swim, it’s away from all the water sports and if you fancy a view of the beach you can walk up the footpath on the headland. There’s more German bunkers tucked away under the rocks, a constant reminder of the occupation during World War II. . . . . . #digitalhumanbeans #thisanxiousadventurer #vitaminsea #visitjersey #seaswimming #30baysin30days #stbreladesbay #stbrelade #jerseyci #jerseyproud #jerseytravelblog #jerseychannelislands #germanbunker #ww2reminders (at Saint Brélade)
