I’m very excited to show you guys this piece that I really have poured my heart and soul into. This is the second in a line of artworks which highlights beautiful endangered species 🌍 . This is the Black rhino 🦏 . A critically endangered species with less than 5,500 individuals left in the wild. . Black rhinos are the smaller of the two African rhino species. The most notable difference between white and black rhinos are their hooked upper lip. . Black rhinos are browsers rather than grazers and their pointed lip helps them feed on leaves from bushes and trees. . Populations of black rhino declined dramatically in the 20th century at the hands of European hunters. Between 1960 and 1995, black rhino numbers dropped by a sobering 98%, to less than 2,500. Since then the species has made a comeback from the brink of extinction. Thanks to persistent conservation efforts across Africa. . Rhino crime such as poaching and trafficking of rhino horn continues to plague this species and threaten its recovery. . I will be releasing 5,500 limited prints of this artwork to represent the 5,500 estimated individuals which remain in the wild. 20% of my profits will be going to @wwf to help save these beautiful animals from poachers and maintain their natural habitat. . Keep an eye on my Etsy shop this afternoon for print release 🦏 . . . . . #art #artist #artwork #blackrhino #rhino #ink #inked #inkdrawing #endangered #endangeredanimals #endangeredspecies #wwfuk #rhinoart #rhinodrawing #tattoo #tattoodesign #skull #animalartist #animalart #drawing #skulltattoo #animalskull #animalskulltattoo #skullart #vegan #savetheblackrhino #charity #savetheanimals #veganfortheanimals (at Penrith- Lake District) https://www.instagram.com/p/CNZegZ1pTIP/?igshid=1gt8w1b5zgwcp
