Chapter 151: Get That Family Jewel Back
Okarun, Rokuro and Officer Bega team up to bring down Brella Boy! I like the philosophy of "what would Miss Ayase do?" that Okarun employed. You gotta think outside of the box to defeat enemies who are outside of your control. Maybe I should ask myself WWMD? What would Momo do?

WWMD
(A post-season 3 AU where Maeve actually dies, and Annie and Elena find common ground in the loss of their love).
In the wake of Queen Maeve’s death stopping Soldier Boy, life goes on, but Annie can’t. There’s no one left she can turn to for help, or to unpack the feelings she never fully acknowledged—until she gets a call from Elena, who needs assistance with a different sort of unpacking.
-------
Annie had lost people before. Her grandparents, who were each in their eighties, good long lives, though it still hurt to part with them. Her kindergarten teacher, with whom she’d kept in touch up through college until the woman passed away from pancreatic cancer at 57. Very recently, she’d felt a loss that up to that point had been the most shocking and unjust one she’d ever felt, and thought (hoped) she’d ever feel—Alex. Annie didn’t have words for how it felt to see his body, bloody, mangled, unrecognizable but for his costume, paraded before her by Homelander with his sickening glee.
This loss didn’t hit as hard as losing Alex—at first. In contrast to that one tidal wave of agony… this loss felt like it was still happening, in slow motion.
Maeve was still staring back at Annie, one eye a bloody mess. Maeve was still turning and running at Soldier Boy, tackling him out the window. She was still falling through the air. She was still engulfed in an earth-shaking blast of heat and light. She was still down there, among the rubble somewhere. She had to be. It couldn’t be over.
