   He was walking through the woods, taking the trail that led to the old town. The remnants of where a small town had been, now nothing more than a few structures and foundations scattered through the woods. One path led to the magic-laden graveyard, the other to ruined train tracks covered up by years of falling, rotting leaves. Yet another path led to dugout tunnels with unknown origins. 

   He stopped to take in the scenery before heading on towards the graveyard. The newest grave had been dug almost seventy years before, around the time the town had been abandoned and rebuilt miles away. Stepping over broken marble monuments and pieces of what had once been praying angels and weeping women, Scottie paused and examined one headstone, the name and date worn away.

   Scottie heard something; it could have been his imagination. But he looked and caught the smell of someone unfamiliar. Someone else was there; he couldn’t tell how far away they actually were, owing to lack of depth perception. He waved a friendly wave.

   --“I’d be careful steppin’ ‘round th’ stones. Some a’    the markers are hidden, and it hurts like hell if you    kick ‘em on accident.”

Sorry for butting in, but the possession talk sounds fishy. The other girl's right with salt, but if you have any white candles, those are also good to burn. If you can find some quartz crystals and white sage, those are also good for repelling evil spirits. The fleur-de-lis is weird though because that's not necessarily an evil symbol. If things get really bad though you might wanna look into making a blood-bonded pentagram.

i mean so far nothing really malevolent has happened which makes this all the more confusing, but i don’t want to take any chances, i’ll take your advice–worst this is gonna do is make me look like a dumbass, but then i tend to look like even more of one during these, uh, “episodes,” so again it won’t hurt
