Wycoller Country Park
13th Century CE Pack Horse Bridge, Wycoller, Lancashire.
The coping stones at the base of the bridge are supposed to contain cup marks and have been sourced from a local prehistoric site on the nearby moors.

Today's Flickr photo with the most hits: one of the (many) fairy doors at Wycoller, Lancashire.
Magnificent desolation, it's much changed and ruinous visage still imposing in its isolation. The long since abandoned Wycoller Hall ruin, which is probably the model for Ferndean Manor in Jane Eyre. #architecturalwonder #architecture #ruins #antiques #janeeyre #wycoller #wycollerhall #desolationrow #stone #tudor #history #thoughtprovoking #ferndeanmanor #moss #loss (at Wycoller Hall) https://www.instagram.com/p/ByirKKXhSPr/?igshid=1855hfrkjtmrc
Clam Bridge by Tony Via Flickr: Clam Bridge, more than 1000 years old is listed as an Ancient Monument. It was repaired in 1991, after being cracked in two in 1989 and 1990.
Wycoller Iron Age Clam Bridge, Wycoller, Lancashire.
It is thought that this clam bridge is made from an Iron Age standing stone. It was made into a bridge by using rolling logs (the same possible process used for creating Stonehenge). It has collapsed at points over time and is secured by large bolts underneath. At one point it also had a handrail.
