I think Jesper’s best quality is his loyalty. Once you’re part of his family, he’ll do anything for you. Oh and he’s also very handsome and a very good kisser

His worst quality? He snores. And not in the cute, soft way that can lull you to sleep. It’s loud and I wonder how he hasn’t choked on his own spit. Or been smothered by a pillow. I’ve had to stuff my ears with beeswax at night just to sleep.

How’s your mother doing?

She's doing well, last I checked! I've been so swamped with council duties though that I've had to miss out on our last few lunch dates :(

Nonetheless, I feel so incredibly lucky to have her back in my life and have a supportive parent for once. As soon as she properly got to know my friends, she practically took them under her wing 😅 It is quite funny to see Kaz get mothered

She adjusted her cloak, concealing the kefta underneath . It was cold so cold and foggy in this damn city that if she wasn't an inferni, she would have been shivering .

“Oh you’re quite alright, I should’ve been paying better attention,” Wylan laughed nervously. He adjusted the strap of his bag on his shoulder, trying to push out the thought of what might’ve happened had any of the vials he was carrying broke. He should probably look into a better system for transporting chemicals, especially the more unstable/caustic ones…

“Are you okay? You’re not hurt, right?..” Wylan’s voice trailed off as he glimpsed the blue fabric disappear under the strange girl’s coat. Her accent and appearance were already clear indications that she wasn’t Kerch, but the embroidery on that fabric was weirdly familiar…

Wylan looked back up into the girl’s blue eyes before checking to see if there was anyone watching. He lowered his voice and leaned in.

“Keep your eyes out while you’re here. The Barrel isn’t exactly the safest place…especially for foreigners and alike.” Wylan hoped his message was clear and that it didn’t come off as a threat. If he was right and this stranger was in fact Grisha, he’d be putting her in more danger by voicing his suspicions.
