Snow Day for @merspots ! Absolutely tickled to get the opportunity to draw a wyrwulf OC!!
@askshivanulegacy came at me with a wyrwulf biologist and while I was puzzling out just how to do that, I was hit again with wyrwulf bard and this vision came almost immediately ahaha. I feel like this encapsulates some of the true weirdness of the Star Wars eu, I mean, what’s not to love about a hexapedal canine that literally pupates and emerges as a goddamn codru-ji, who comes up with this I love it??! Plus this one likes to SING. I truly hope he blesses someone’s adventure, somewhere.
So I was wondering ....
The Codru-Ji are known as Kidnappers within their own species and have kidnapping as a ritualistic thing.
One top of that their kids are well, they don’t look like kids cause they look like six legged dogs called Wyrwulf that are mistaken as pets and spend 8 years or so in that form until they mature and become a blue cocoon where they chill for a few weeks until they pop out looking like a Codru-Ji
So um what happens if the pup is kidnapped but never paid for and ends up being sold off as an actual pet elsewhere in the galaxy?
Would you end up with a Wyrwulf who is confused as hell on whats going on or would you get something thats going to try its darn-est to try and get someone to understand them?
Sometimes I imagine that Thom occasionally tries to hack the ship's AI in hopes of deliberately turning it homicidal, but he always fails because he isn't a good enough programmer. I can see him studying programming in his spare time, just so he can one day make his ship crazy enough to kill him.
I absolutely love this as a potential plotline actually. It makes perfect sense. The only thing I'd say is that Thom's not quite there yet -- he's attempted suicide before but it's been heat-of-the-moment stuff rather than a long, premeditated plan. Give him time though. :3
