If X!Grian and Mumbo met in high school, then Ariana also knew Mumbo, and she would have been friends with him as well.

So Ari’s missing both her brother and her friend at the moment. :)

Hello, I was wondering, since grian experience every kind of experiment and some of the side affect, is there someone that he in particular doesnt like sharing their power because of those things, more than the others?

He hates using Martyn’s powers the most. If Martyn himself needs help to calm down and not be overwhelmed by everything, then Grian is struggling just as much if not more in just five minute bursts. His ears ring for too long afterwards.

Did any of the subjects attitudes change after the incident/ skizz and mumbo's deaths?

For The Incident, Scar became a lot more reserved with his actions and now tries to attract as little attention as possible. Grian is much more closed off than he used to be, and the only one who’s managed to get past the barriers he’s put up is Gem.

After Skizz died, Impulse was consumed with grief. Knowing that his friend is dead hurts him more than anything the scientists could ever do to him. Throughout all the testing, he hears Skizz’s voice in his head urging him to keep going despite his lack of hope for escape.

Any Grian and Mumbo thoughts you really like?

Grian and Mumbo were such good friends. You guys don’t even understand.

They met because Mumbo needed an editor/beta reader for his book, and Grian was desperate for a job as an editor; so, he took the first decent job he could find, even if he wasn’t a fan of the genre and didn’t understand the fancy sci-fi words that Mumbo used in his book.

It was grueling work at first for Grian, struggling to get through the chapters, but as he kept giving Mumbo feedback and the two interracted more, Grian realized he was actually starting to enjoy the story and get a bit invested. Mumbo’s enthusiasm about it was just contagious.

Mumbo was so nervous about showing off this world he has created with someone new, thinking no one would like it as much as he did. He thought his fears were coming true when Grian’s feedback started out as curt and short. But as time went on and Mumbo got more comfortable with Grian, he let his excitement over his story and his characters shine through.

The two only grew closer from there.

Before the incident, Scar and Grian warmed up to each other pretty quickly. They were really fast friends, and when Scar’s appearance started to make him look more and more scary, Grian was always quick to tell him that he wasn’t scared of Scar—that he could never be scared of Scar.

Grian’s power manifested before Scar’s did, and Scar was in complete awe of it. He used to tell Grian that having a jack-of-all-trades kind of power could be just what the group needed to escape, and Grian took his words to heart. Even after The Incident and after he resents Scar, Grian still holds onto those words like a lifeline.
