' call me'
was the signal he made with his hand before the pro hero fled the scene
leaving you with a pounding heart and a newly signed poster
it had been so quick, such a small gesture you almost missed it
I did a double take to make sure it was intended for you, but not a single soul was with you
you walked home in a daze, feet barely touching the ground before flopping into your bed and burying your face into a pillow to muffle a half squeal half giggle
you felt your body heating up, you felt dizzy, light, and giddy all at the same time
you look up from your pillow to lazily glance your room, hero memorabilia and merch hung proudly from your walls,
now with a new addition of a poster with a messy signature waiting to be hung, the sharpie smudged slightly, with the lengthy signature
you had read it so many times you'd lost count
the words now etched into your mind and his name thrummed in your chest
you take a breath, trying to calm yourself and take another peek at the poster, hoping it hadn't been a dream and it was still there
you read off the signature again, the words barely a whisper dancing across your lips,
'great explosion murder god dynamite'
