yan!prince x knight reader

summary: yan!prince can mess up on a lot of things, but he never messes up being completely infatuated with you! finally gathering up his courage, he finally decides to take a step in romancing you..only for it to turn more difficult than he thought.
a/n: this is actually kind of short, but i wanted to set up how yan!prince would act for a larger oneshot i hope to make. i think im going to be making different yan!princes, so i think im going to try differentiating the layouts for those fics.
yan!prince is..a mess. he's failed his etiquette classes a hundred times, and most mentors have given up on him. he can't pour tea, hell he tripped on air once and spilled tea on his father! he can't do a lot without messing it up. but one thing he can do is watch you train with the other knights!
his face flushes in embarrassment whenever he sees you raise your visor and see that gorgeous face. and he almosts shrieks if you catch him staring! it's also why he asked his dad with a pleading face to move his bedroom conveniently closer to the training grounds just because the window has a perfect spot to watch you in!
he doesn't think you have even acknowledged him much. well sometimes when you say 'your majesty' when you two bump into each other, but surely you don't muster a thought about him after that! it breaks him on the inside.. so today he's going to finally attempt talking to you!
he made cute cupcakes that definitely didn't take him the whole morning because he kept spilling the batter or dropping egg shells in the mix! and they're heart shaped...a great way to express his love for you! he's holding them so carefully to make sure he doesn't drop them, and from the kitchen to the training grounds is such a long way!
but nonetheless, he makes his way, reaching the training grounds before his jaw drops. there's some..some stupid servant flirting with you! his face goes red, and he's not sure it's because of seeing you, or being angry. he hurries back to the kitchen almost dropping the cupcakes. he looks around to see that the kitchen is a ghost town, so he places the tray there, hurries to the apothecary to retrieve some nightshade, remaking one cupcake with the icing filled with night shade. The color of the new cupcake is slightly purple, but it was time to hurry back to the training grounds.
he doesn't know if it's lucky or not the servant is still there, but he musters up the courage.
"y-y/n..! thank you for all your uh..service.." He mumbled, giving you a cupcake. His face was a rose shade, trying his best not to just bolt away. His face shifted when facing the servant, however. "And since you're here..you can have one too," He muttered, giving the servant the light purple cupcake.
Isn't it so convenient that it's wintertime and people often die from the flu? Sad for you, but yan!prince is right here to cheer you up with his newfound confidence and skills!
