Esmay looks her dead in the eye. “He’s handling it.”
Cue Xaive holding the bully Hunter upside over the edge of the tower and shaking him down like “ARE YOU FUCKING SORRY?!” while Ali is standing off to the side looking slightly horrified while Samantha just pats her shoulder like, “Don’t worry, he won’t actually kill them.”
Xaive. No one believed him when he said he could actually sing because they all thought he was just trying to be funny again. Turns out though the bot can sing pretty good.

Samantha. She always does this when she’s dreaming. The more vivid and intense the dream the more active she gets. Xaive has taken it upon himself to monitor her when she sleeps so if she starts to walk/get into something dangerous he can wake her up before any harm can be done.

Xaive. His memories of the Golden Age are a little better than the rest of the team’s, so his attempts to crack jokes referencing that time period almost always go over their heads. Usually when someone does get it though it’s Samantha.

It’s a tie between Samantha and Xaive. Samantha wants to eat, naturally, but Xaive is looking to loot the party and save the food for later. Sometimes his fireteam needs a lil snack to get through the day.

Mohra. She’s obviously very good at smithing, but no one expects her to be good at alchemy and enchanting too. But a girl needs potion to survive out in the wilds of Skyrim, and it never hurts to have some magical weapons on your side either.
Xaive, if he’s wearing one styled like this. He would completely unserious about it though, speaking with the worst Scottish impression and purposely setting himself over fans so the kilt blows up and he flashes other Guardians.

Probably my unnamed sole survivor from Fallout 4. She’s gotten use to wearing armor pretty much all the time because the world is dangerous and you can never be too careful, but she’ll jump on any chance she can get to take it all off and feel somewhat normal again.

Esmay. She doesn’t deliberately make bad fashion choices, she just doesn’t care to make good ones. It drives Samantha and Xaive up the wall when she does this because she always ends up ruining their “We’re a team!” look. So, they always set aside a few extra minutes before every mission to discuss, plan, and coordinate their looks.
Okay so I just had a thought after reading the domestic Warlock complaint post. You know how the House of Devils essentially gets royally fucked up and scattered around during the Taken invasion? Well what if Esmay ends up stumbling upon a injured and frazzled Xirr-kis outside the Devil's lair after that and through a series of stressful events and potential gunfire ends up bringing him home with her.
And then my brain went a step farther and imagined a couple of those sceneros from the Domestic Warlock post to be from Xirr-kis' perspective an I just
[softly screaming]
Okay, but let’s be honest here. There would be so much more going on if Xirr was thrown into the mix because she brought a freaking Fallen Eliksni home, and Xaive is like, “Esmay? You do realize that is the enemy, right?? And you can’t pull that ‘enemy of my enemy is my friend’ bullshit because he is both our enemy and the Taken’s enemy. Put him back where you found him or so help me!!”
Except she doesn’t put him back. Xirr is staying. Her house, her rules.
(Xirr is quietly laughing at Xaive’s anger and frustration because Machine Man has been trumped by Xirr’s... friend.)
And then slowly but surely the whole gang is against Esmay’s warlock bullshit.
Xaive: “No more shearing of reality in this house! It’s bad enough you’ve got the enemy here. I don’t need time distorting on me too.”
Xaive:“She’s pinned me to the wall before… with her mind!”Xirr: “What?”
Xaive: “THE LAWS OF THERMODYNAMICS ARE CALLED LAWS FOR A REASON!!”
Xaive: “Y-you’re on fire! I DON’T CARE IF IT’S YOUR FIRE STOP BEING ON FIRE BEFORE YOU LIGHT THE WHOLE PLACE UP!”
Xaive: “Okay, let me make this clear. The last time you tried to power your own damn toaster it exploded. Stop.”
Xaive: “wHY DO YOU HAVE A NOVA BOMB IN YOUR HAN- put it down? NO NO WAIT DON’T PUT IT DOWN--”
Xirr: “You know you really need to clean up these books… it looks like you’re building a book city.”
Xaive: “WHY IS THERE A VEX MIND CORE IN THE PEANUT BUTTER JAR?!”Esmay: “I ran out of space.”Xaive: “THIS JAR WAS FULL YESTERDAY!!”Esmay: “Why do you need peanut butter?”Xaive: “DON’T CHANGE THE SUBJECT ON ME!”Esmay: “But you don’t eat. So why do you need peanut butter?”Xaive: “Because I’m making Samantha a sandwich for her overnight bag, okay? Xirr: Leering at the peanut butter jar. “That artifact you brought in yesterday is humming… now it’s whispering… I think it wants to bone me.”
Xaive: Kicking a pile of bones, “I’VE HAD IT WITH THESE MOTHERFUCKING BONES IN THIS MOTHERFUCKING HOUSE!”Bonus points if Xirr is bringing them in for religious purposes and Esmay is defending his practice because 1) They have no right to interfere, and 2) She wants to study the practice... and the bones.
I realize now after doing that whole list that Xaive is the mom friend of the group.
What kind of ship models do your Destiny characters prefer?
It’s funny that you choose ships as your topic to ask about because I actually got my dream ship, Dead Orbit’s Fermi Solution, a week ago or so.
ANYWAY
Esmay likes ships like the Fermi Solution or the EX21 Slipper Misfit; something simple and not very flashy but still aesthetically pleasing. She’s also partial to the Reef ships, being a Reef born Awoken and all, but she chooses not to fly the models available to Guardians because they make her feel conflicted. She’s cut ties with the Reef and using one of their ships makes her feel like she still has ties.
Xaive’s taste in ships could be defined as “horrible” or “eye sore”. If it’s big he wants it; If it’s bright and colorful he wants it; If it’s impossible to ignore, even with your eyes closed, he wants it. He wants the galaxy to know where he’s going and when he’s coming so the more obnoxious and noticeable a ship is the better it is.
Samantha prefers simple, stealth ships. She really likes the Reef ships because they snuck up on and surprised her and the others when they entered the Reef, but unfortunately the ships are impractical anywhere else in the galaxy so she doesn’t use them. She’ll sometimes fly the ships Variks offers though, using them as warnings to whatever house has its sigil painted on it that she’s on the prowl for them.
