See, we didn't think of this shit when we were wee innocent babbs. But now that we're older a lot more things are clicking and we go '...oh...'
The reason why I’m so slow with clearing this run of FFVIII is that I’m meticulously picking everything apart with a fine-toothed comb. I’m taking my time and reading the dialogue, talking to literally everyone I run into because it’s been like ten years since I played the game seriously.
I will say that I feel a bit more validated and secure in my perspective of the game. While it does have a storyline for shipping, the world-building is definitely not the whole fluffies and sprinkles like fanon insists you take as fact.
I am glad for the remaster. I’m hoping that more people are playing the game in their adulthood and not still holding the happy stuff with as much prevalence as we did as wee babbs.
