this kinect game has one of the best endings i've seen in a game ever. check out the full edit on youtube <3
SpongeBob's Surf and Skate Roadtrip sure is underrated. If only it wasn't Kinect-exclusive (not counting its handheld DS counterpart). Here's our favorite yellow porifera in surfer and skateboarder gear. 😁
does anyone even know my ugly blorbo 🖐️😢
how it feels to be a lesbian and smoke weed
telekinesis refers to the ability of the Xbox Kinect to act as a telephone receiver
Welcome once again to Mickey Mondays! All we do is grab a Mickey Mouse plush and watch a piece of Mickey animation from any point of his nearly 100-year career! Let’s see what we’ve got this week!
The Animation: House of Mouse is back at Mickey Mondays, and I think we might just focus on this show for the next few weeks. There’re quite a few episodes, and “Mickey vs. Shelby”is one of the most underrated for me. It centers on a character I don’t especially care about in Shelby the baby turtle, who makes Mickey’s life a nightmare in between the cartoons that also feature Shelby in some way (or his VERY loud mom, played by the great Estelle Harris, also known as Mrs. Potato Head). The episode itself is not only a great spotlight for Mickey, but we also get some outstanding Donald Duck shorts with Shelby, as well. Donald babysitting will never fail to make me laugh.
But the best part of “Mickey vs. Shelby” for me, despite the fact that both shorts star Donald, is the wraparound. This episode features a hilarious sequence with a deeply frustrated Mickey chasing Shelby across sometime rooftops, which includes visual and musical Mary Poppins jokes.
“Mickey vs. Shelby” gets a lot of mileage out of taking Mickey out of his comfort zone for a little while. This is a highly underrated episode of House of Mouse. You can watch this episode for free on YouTube because Disney doesn’t seem to think House of Mouse should be on its streaming service.
The Plush: This week’s Mickey plush is another small stretch. Since video games are a big plot point in one of the shorts for “Mickey vs. Shelby” I thought it’d be fun to highlight this Mickey plush made specifically for the forgotten Xbox Kinect release Disneyland Adventures. You could actually scan this adorable little guy and get a new quest for the game! Did anyone ever play this?
And that’s going to be for Mickey Mondays, pals! Thanks for making these so much fun to write and put together! See you next week for another combination of Mickey animation and Mickey Mouse plush!
So I was finally after a good 10+ years of owning but never playing the game Fable the Journey, was going to try it since we have about 7-8 (hopefully) months until the new fable drops, but the kinetic camera is not cooperating.
It’s too close to wear i have to sit and keeps saying it “can’t see the floor” because i have my bed facing my tv stand with maybe 2.5 feet of space between them for movement. I’m sitting on the edge of my bed, unless i have to KICK something in this game I don’t understand why it needs to see the floor.
Edit after a few minutes of messing with the camera and finally getting it to work:
Im seeing why this game isn’t popular in the fandom. It controls like shit
Edit 2:
And not even a whole 10 minutes in and I’m tapping out. It controls terribly.
When it was trying to calibrate your spell casting it’s implying you do not need to aim at enemies, you do, does it explain how to do this? No.
You have to bring your hands up to your shoulders and push them straight out to cast spells, when you do this, there is no guarantee it is going to go where you want it to go.
99.9% of it has been cutscenes and the equally horrible controls of steering a horse. At one point a character (the older brother of the protagonist I think? They never specifically said but context clues imply they’re brothers) says “Look at that view” you have no camera controls. You have to view whatever is directly in front of your horse.
I see why this was basically Lionhead’s final nail in the coffin. I understand that they were most likely forced by Xbox to make an Kinect game but Jesus was this awful and I’m not even into the actual game yet, I was still on the tutorial.
