I don’t speak Japanese but I’m really wondering what possessed Birth by Sleep english localisers to add kinky spice to this particular dialogue.

I used YouTube auto translator which might miss the nuance of such complex language as Japanese. But I’ve asked my friend who studied Japanese and she come up with simmilar translation: “Old man was tougher than I expected, so I took the liberty to use some dirty methods”.

Doesn’t sound remotely bdsm-ish. :(

Part of me is grateful this gem exist at least in English dub, part of me is so disappointed it’s not canon :(
