She doesn't just study alien life forms—she dissects them, reinterprets them, and elevates them to the absolute. Her laboratory is an artist's studio, where mutagens are used instead of paints, and living tissue and sacred metal serve as the canvas.
LUMINOKHVAT
The biomechanical Cerberus of Alkhemia Deyman. A creature in which organic muscles act as cables, while the mechanical skeleton never knows fatigue. Created for one purpose—to guard and to hunt down.
Drew my Skitarii Marshall Othala-Haegl 1-12 in a uniform based off of the Soviet Red Army artillery officer one from around 1915 ish according to google. She's so cutes :)
Done in my sketchbook with office supplies and a white ink gel pen.
"Sister Magdel-1N3: unpredictable, flexible, peerless improvisor. Capable of rapid short-term cognitive shifts, reflexes in augments perfected. Latest discovery and augmentation: weapon and teleportation capabilities of Necron "Vargard." Cares not for Omnissiah's doctrine, Magdel-1N3 cares only to eliminate that which would affront Machine God." - Destructor Golias
(More little notes about her in the image descriptions)
I built Magdel-1N3 just after Golias, and took a similar yet less complicated process. I fit the Dominus body onto a Canoptek Wraith tail by cutting out a slot into the tail to the right depth and angle. There was an extra mechadendrite protruding from the Dominus torso that I cut off as it would get in the way of the Warscythe. After getting the torso in place I cut up some Wraith claw limbs and glued them to the inside of the robe to uneven out this portion that’s normally meant to fit “flat” on a base. For all 4 arm attachments, I drilled in to each shoulder just enough so that the connection would fit more comfortably and securely. Where the Dominus rear arms normally go, I glued on some orb arm things from the Wraith kit to mount Tesla Carbines from the Tomb Blades kit on. I drilled a small hole into the Mechanicus emblem on the Dominus powerpack, and glued in a Tomb Blade sail. For the front arms I took a left arm from the Deathmark kit, and right arm from the Lychguard kit, and attached the Lychguard Warscythe.
I bought myself a second Skitarii box earlier this week; I used the first two to round out my kill team, and with the rest I decided to try my hand at kitbashing! Spoiler alert: it's fun as hell! I have tons of extra bits from the various teams/factions I've assembled, so I had plenty of material with which to let loose creatively. They're not painted yet so it might be a bit hard to make out some details, but I think they'll look great once I paint them!
Various Xenarites
A Khornate skitarii
Space Marine Lite
A walking lascannon turret
And maybe my favorite, the Chrome Corsair! With either too many guns, or not enough!
This was so much fun! I look forward to doing it again some time!
I did Elena last year but forgot to upload it here, Anton is more recent. I tried making their cybernetic appearances similar as much as possible as Elena is a Magos Biologis that would’ve assembled them.
Xenarites leaning farther toward the radical path than the Orthodoxy. Anton is afflicted by a virulent technocyte plague that requires him to be entombed in an exoskeleton filled with his sister’s treatment. Despite this the plague continually alters his integrated cybernetic anatomy forcing him to seek replacement and spend several months at a time in purge-tanks.
PARTS 1-10 PART 11 PART 12 PART 13 PART 14 PART 15
PART 16
My Growing Warhammer Collection part 16.5: The Xenarites. Meet Enginseer Gled 1-0, Destructor Golias, Secutor Magdel-1N3, and their Necron-ified cohort.
Inspired by the Warhammer 40K: Mechanicus game, I began this venture with thinking of ways I could swap and add parts to an Enginseer to make him a Necron Xenarite, then I thought I could put Deathmark backs onto Skitarii soldiers, then my ideas got more wild from there, to the point where I looked up different kinds of Tech Priests to see what I could turn into Xenarites. Right now we've got:
Xenarite Enginseer (axe replaced with Rod of Covenant, Servo-skull replaced with Destroyer head, and added Gauss Reaper from Warriors kit)
Skitarii Vanguard (5 of which have replaced their packs with modified Deathmark back plates)
Onager Dunecrawler (Gauss Flayer in place of the Stubber, and a lil decorative bit on the front)
Xenarite Myrmidon duo: a Myrmidon Secutor Magdel-1N3 (armed with Tesla Carbines and Warscythe) and Myrmidon Destructor Golias (armed with Kataphron Flamer and Gauss Destructor), that combined use parts from the Dominus, Kataphron Servitor, Canoptek Wraith and Spyder, Lokhust Heavy Destroyer, Deathmark, Lychguard, and Tomb Blade kits.
Maybe eventually I'll make some Xenarites for other Xenos as well, like T'au or Eldar or something, might be cool. But first: a little break, and planning for future Necron Xenarites. I've got ideas for a Techsorcist and Technoarcheologist, and I'd like to do a Biologis, Artisan, and Fabricator Locum and General, and maybe more, who knows?
