As a book reviewer, I value a well-told story. That being said, video games, for me, are usually a casual experience that serves as an alternative to reading. So, when I received a custom Switch as a graduation present, I wanted a game that could quench my thirst for character growth, plot twists, and impressionability. And with Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Monolith Soft surely delivered everything I wanted. If I compared this game to a book it would be nothing short of a traditional Victorian novel – chock-full of a mind-boggling amount of characters, a complex plot that goes into dizzying detail, and a dynamic pace composed of both slow progression and action-packed scenes.
