I am SO NORMAL about Xerxes fic. I wrote like 9K of it in the last two weeks.
It's actually called A Haven for None but Xerxes fic is a better shorthand.
It's a post-canon Mangahood fic in which Ed travels to Xing to visit Al but stops by Xerxes on the way to do some research. Just for a few days. That was the plan, anyways.
He wasn't expecting to find people living in the ruins of Xerxes. Not the Ishvalan refugees he's encountered before but actual settlers. He has to satisfy his curiosity of course and talk to them, find out what brings them here.
They seem nice enough. Even if they are weirdly obsessed with his hair and his eyes and his Xerxian heritage.
Al, in the meantime, starts getting worried when Ed doesn't show up as planned and no one's heard from him since he set out to cross the desert, and decides to go and retrace his brother's steps.
I'm currently at the end of chapter 2, with lots of bits and pieces written for later chapters, but I have honestly no idea how long it'll end up being. I am SO tempted to just start posting though. Since it'll be a while before Vox Populi is in any shape to be posted, and I just reallly wanna share my excitement 😭 So thank you for indulging me by asking, anon!
BTW, I have an overview of my current WIPs in my pinned post, which I try to keep up to date. I also have a tag list for my fics so if you want to be tagged when I post thoughts, infos, snippets, chapters of my FMA fics let me know and I'll put you on the list!
