Of course, within about two seconds of arriving at the Genoshan border, the X-Men get ambushed by the entire goddamned Genoshan army. I’m just sitting here facepalming. With all these grand master strategists working together, Cyclops, Forge, Banshee, Cable . . . fucking Cable!! . . . this was the best plan you guys could come up with??? This leads to a real Kane / Undertaker hell in a cell cage match between the Summers brothers where, when it’s clear that the two can’t hurt each other with their powers, Cyclops resorts to pinching his brothers ears. Oh my god Cable is still bitching about when Storm slammed that hatch on him a day and a half ago. He won’t shut up about it! Can we march this guy off to a violent execution already? Just give him what he wants and send him off into battle by himself with a few of his little pew pew guns so we don’t have to sit next to him on the plane and listen to him bitch about something that offended him during the entire god damned flight. I’ve never said anything mean about Boom Boom, but I’ve had mean thoughts. Ok, there was that time I was happy that she got lit on fire, but all of the New Mutants were being really obnoxious that issue so it doesn’t count. Now we learn another one of those life lessons where we find out that if someone is habitually dropping bombs down people’s pants, it might be because they had a really traumatic childhood. Don’t judge the kid who’s acting out, lest you ignore the privileges you yourself have taken for granted your whole life. (X-Factor #60 - Nov 1990)

Somehow, this group of clowns get unofficially sanctioned by the US government to attack a foreign country. Man, I wouldn’t be letting these jokers buy alcohol after 6 pm, let alone give them the authority to start a war. Hey wait a second. Do I like this art? Do I like this villain? When I was a kid, the X-Factor chapters of these crossovers left a real bad taste in my mouth. Remember in Inferno when it seemed like Walt Simonson's art really dropped off a cliff in comparison to what Marc Silverstri was putting out? When I revisited that crossover, those feelings from my childhood persisted. But I'm kind of digging what I'm seeing here in X-Tinction Agenda. This hideous Cameron Hodge cyborg with the robot teeth and his eye bugging out reminds me of that fucking scene in Superman 3 that gave me nightmares for approximately 37 years after I first saw it in theaters when I was 5. And with that Joe Biden cardboard cutout suit draped around his neck? Delicious. I’m on board for whatever this maniac’s plans are.

I totally forgot that this freak piece of shit used to be X-Factor's PR manager. How many decades ago was that? About 2 decapitations ago and a demon resurrection, I'd say. (X-Factor #60 - Nov 1990)
