Cole maybe has a slightly wavier texture but honestly his normal hair reminds me of mine when I don’t brush my hair after a shower and have a rough sleep

OR alternatively ColeRen soulmate string that Xianyun can see and does NOT want happening, so he sticks with Ren and monitors Cole when he’s with them as much as possible

Initially, I was so excited thinking about a sort of fucked up selfship AU with Xianyun where he methodically takes Ren to be his little “porcelain” doll, dressing them up in pretty clothes he picks out for them, basically keeping them as a companion to stay with him forever
I even thought about the idea he makes “special brews” of teas that are meant to maintain Ren’s youth and extend their lifespan to an unnatural extent so they stay as pristine as his antiques heheh
The premise of all of this is that Xianyun from the PES made me frighteningly weak in the brain kansksns As I said before, I thought he was gonna be dominant and creepy at first— so Ren in this AU is going to also be rather vulnerable and submissive.
I’d probably make them more on the depressed side, I think. The idea is that Xianyun offers himself as someone for Ren to lean on and have take care of them (“but who takes care of you?”) which Xianyun has no issue with. I’m also tying Cole into this somehow and it’s not because this is a XianRenCole (that’s another post for another day), but because I GGHHJSHDJSKKD
THE STRING THE RED STRING!!!! THE FACT XIANYUN INSISTS UPON IT SO QUICKLY THREW ME OFF SO MUCH. (IT DOESNT HELP THE ONLY OTHER PERSON WHO’S ASSOCIATED WITH THE RED STRING IS COLE GRRRR)
I wanna think that Xianyun either Can see it legitimately or it’s him being a bit manipulative, but I’m leaning more towards him being a little supernatural and having the ability to see it
THIS IS AN ASIDE: So in my main XianRenCole AU, Xianyun sees the string and either doesn’t realize Ren isn’t holding the end of it or still wants to pursue them in spite of there being more to the string than he can immediately see (spoiler, Cole is following Ren around a Lot so that’s why Xianyun can see it more vividly, the three are tangled together by fate!!!!)
Back to the yandere Xianyun AU, if Xianyun CAN see it, I wanna say it’s either like my main AU OR he sees it on Ren but it’s not tied to him (it’s tied to Cole, whom he learns/views to be a danger to his doll) AND HE JUST LIES THAT ITS TIED TO HIM osjdskssk
Obviously Ren just thinks this is metaphorical either way because they can’t see it, but still. It’s about intent :3
