So I was afraid that maybe they will break my little Wen Ning, but it seems I can rest assured. Not long after Wei Ying starting to have doubts, Wen Ning finally arrives with Jiang Cheng. But poor Jiang Cheng is in a really bad state and there is no way they can travel far away from here with him being injured like this. So Wen Ning asks Wei Ying to trust him and take Jiang Cheng to Yilin, where his sister is. The bodies of Yu Ziyuan and Jiang Fengmian will follow later. So both Wen Ning and Wei Ying leave together while everybody is asleep because they drank so much.
Next morning, Wen Zhuliu wakes up Wen Chao with this very bad news: somebody put poison in the alcohol and saved Jiang Cheng. Wen Chao is really angry and blames Wei Ying. Of course. Well, he really isn't happy either when he learns that Wen Ning may be implied, but then it makes things easier to guess what he is going to do, which is go to his sister… Crap. That's not going to end beautifully, I know.
Wei Ying, Jiang Cheng, Yanli and Wen Ning finally get to their destination which is still a mystery yet. Which makes a nervous Wei Ying really angry, because it ends up being a inspection office of the Wen clan, buy Yilin is actually the place Wen Qing lives. She heals as she can Jiang Cheng, but when he wakes up, he is not the same anymore: Wen Zhuliu sucked up all of his energy/power/chakra, whatever you want to call it so he will never get to his previous state of fighting ever again. On Wikipedia they call this the Golden core? To me that translation doesn't make any sense, but anyways. Whatever. Jiang Cheng doesn't have it anymore and his parents got theirs sucked too before they died.
Just right then, Wen Qing comes in. She tries to help Jiang Cheng to get up, but as soon as he sees her cuffs' embroidery, he asks her to leave and becomes a little crazy. She looks heart broken. Maybe she did like him back… I wish for a nice future for the two of them, even though I don't think that will be possible and it is only my wishful thinking.
So there is no way to heal Jiang Cheng… This is bad, why no? Isn't she supposed to be wonderful at medicine? Well, at some point, it's hard to treat your patient when he won't let you come near. Anyways, she's right, Wen Chao will be on his way soon, they should leave as soon as Jiang Cheng gets a little better.
Wei Ying decides to find a cure for his friend, so asks for all the documents Wen Qing has on medicine and keeps on reading them day and night. Until the point he doesn't sleep and doesn't eat anymore. He even got to have a little beard. I don't know if I am liking it. Really not sure. It looks, in certain angles, very sexy, but sometimes more like a kid trying to be an adult without being one. Anyways, he goes and visits Yanli. He couldn't find a way to help Jiang Cheng because there aren't enough books, so he thinks of Lan Zhan and that Lan Zhan could help him. However, Yanli keeps him from going, because he's too tired and what if everything happened because of him? Now she can't spare to lose him too, she doesn't have anymore family apart from him.
Probably touched by her despair, Wen Qing decides to help go through the books to find a way to heal Jiang Cheng.
I am just wondering here… Why does Wen Chao have not arrived yet? It feels like weeks are going by, they drew an awful moustache and beard to Jiang Cheng. He should be there earlier than that. He realized they were gone just the next morning they left. Anyways. Wei Ying seems to find something to help Jiang Cheng, but looks like there's a heavy price to pay. Probably he has to transfer his "golden core" to Jiang Cheng. I mean, why would there be any other way?
Wen Ning helps convincing Wen Qing doing it, because she is really against it, but I am probably sure if he knew what it entailed, he wouldn't have. Wei Ying is his hero. He wouldn't want to weaken him. Even the gesture is really noble.
