Chapter 1 :flames and tails
He wakes with a jolt.
The First thing he notes is that he was asleep in the first place. He doesn't sleep. He rests and regains his energy through meditation. He cannot sleep while the map is under his protection for it is too important. Yet he was asleep, Why? His bones ache and his head throbs the sensation traveling down his neck and spine as he sits up, they’re few beings that can land blow’s that leave him in prolonged pain such as this.
Sun wukong is the first to come to mind.
Why, if he didn’t know better wukong would be suspect to his injuries. however the more nezha takes in his surroundings the less likely that’s becoming sound.

he’s resting upon, quite frankly. A ridiculous amount of silks and cotton’s in different shades of soft pinks and reds, with detailed kiwi green embroidery and lace. All kinds of luxurious pillows, including but not limited to stone and pottery pillows. Some are even woven with thin bamboo slips and painted to Match the other cloth’s.
Any pillow and blanket wukong owns is in the very least covered in puncture wounds from his claws. He doesn’t even begin to fathom how the young monkeys cling to wukong when he’s resting. His claws flex, dig and rip anything they can reach, not to mention how much he moves around in the night at times. Either still as stone or as wild as the seas.

Then in a blink of and eye he’s starting at the ceiling as black spots cover his vision, his eyelids droop and he allows himself to slip into a comfortable blanket of cool darkness sets into his into his very being.

Red boy is glaring at him while a bull demon made of metal is holding a cool damp cloth To Nezha’s forehead. He shoves it off it a hast and force’s his body to sit upright despite its protest, the foggy mess that’s his brain at the moment remembers to scan the surroundings for threats. A privacy screen. the curtains are now closed showing the beauty of the embroidery Tea table with a breathtaking incense holder. A golden ring surrounding a mountain range with a sparkling lake running though, few trees on the bank and a cloud with a small stream of water dripping into the lake, the smell of Rosemary filling the air, thin trail of smoke coming off of the stick that’s currently burning. Ah. He got distracted. The cloth falls to his lap.
“What..?”

The metal creature leaves. It’s an awkward few moments of staring each other while more clarity come to him and his brain lets go of the fog that was stubbornly weighing down his thoughts . He these moments to take a good look at Red boy.
He is sitting at a traditional tea table with his hair neatly pulled up into a traditional style with a ribbon. One clawed hand wrapped around a porcelain teacup. The other holding a in complete honesty, gorgeous fan. hand crafted. Perhaps the demon himself?
The glamour he has plastered onto himself is messy and unstable. Perhaps he’s weak.
It would be logical if he was indeed kidnapped my him, as strong as he may be, nezha is a celestial warrior;The fact he succeeded is no doubt incredible.
The boy opens his mouth to speak. Nezha cuts him off.
“The glamour is unnecessary, and I should advise you explain why you’ve kidnapped a celestial being. Surely you must know it’s ill advised”
The bull huffs with his arms now crossed against his chest,tea discarded on the table and try’s to speak again.
He interrupts once again,There is no need for formalities in this situation.
“Due speak quickly. I must get back to my duties and wish to do so without a fight breaking out.”
A beat passes.
The demon bull’s the Kings heir stopped trying to Interrupt and at some point during his speaking his expression shifted. what is that, it looks almost sad? Like looking at an injured bird trying to take fight. Then to something serious like a mother about to scold a child.
Red son takes a deep breath and puts the fan against his temple in frustration.
“ you are to be resting you moronic locus! “

Red boy snaps and an opened hand slaps against the tea table And the fan in jabbed to into his chest.
“YOU ARE TO BE RESTING!”
Fangs Baird back in a hiss, his hair wraps into flames. Burning through the ribbon he tied his hair up with and the flames crackle and hiss with a mind of their own momentarily before falling down to frame his face due to the lack of ribbon.
Wait no. Those are not his normal demonic flames, for those are the one of the very fire he swore to protect the world from.
Warmth fill’s the air just from the flames sort existentes and humidity rises within the room.
The boy let’s out a hefty sigh.
“ if you must know you are dealing with the aftermath a mysterious poison that coated a blade that nicked you in battle. We aren’t sure what substance covered a blade to make a celestial being such as yourself this weak for this amount of time. And unfortunately for all,it seems to be affecting your memory. “
His fan is being waved around and thrust into the air as if to add flair to his words.
A poison? Just how long has been absent? ‘For this amount of time’ implies that he has been out for and extend an amount of time for a demon standards- and the Samadhi fire has been reforged by its maker.
What damage has been done? How does he fix this? What realm is he in? He and feel the thoughts swirling though his skull-

She covers her mouth with her claws and chuckles, entering father into the room the privacy screen closes behind her.

she puts her arm on red boys shoulder and leans onto him Despite the warning growl He lets out, how brave.
Even lower celestial beings are cautious around A demon’s warning growl.
“ brecha you head hurt’s real bad”
She- huh.
“ I suppose its not comfortable”
“Like on a scale to ‘ someone flicked my forehead’ to ‘someone smashed a mountain over top my head’ how bad “
She holds her hands apart as though to insinuate a chart being there.

He try’s shoves her off only for her to dramatically lean onto him.

She’s doing the the self proclaimed ‘monkey kid’ calls puppy eyes.

They’re actually wrestling on the stone ground red boy trying to keep the hairbrush the the dragon girl got from..well somewhere. as far away from his hair as possible

Mk wants to see how red will react. its not that he doesnt trust redson. he trusts red alot. he knows exactly how red will react and Mk wants to see it play out.
I think we all know Red would panic, innitially. no doubt about it. he's freaking out. then he's stare at his hands with the most zoned out look ever.

Next this Mk knows' he's being carried by Redson into thier bedroom and red starts ranting. Mk cant do any fighting NO FIGHTING WHATSOEVER if so be it Red will kick anyones ass for him. NO TRAINING, NO EXTREME THINGS THAT COULD PUT MK OR THE BABY IN DANGER. none of that crap. Redson starts planning ways to make Mk more comfortable. He says he needs to reaserch things to make sure the baby is born healthy and strong and that "fateful" day is as painless for Mk as possible. also they need baby stuff they need to be ready and prepared ahead of time and blah blah blah.
Meanwhile Mk is fawning over red because this is adorable and who wouldnt fall in love all over again watching thier partner put so much care thought and effort into this.

Redson thinks that doing all of this is the bare minimum for his partner. only the best of the best is worthy for him, his partner and the new....the..thenew....the ba...baby............aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-
Mk has to stop it though, bc its fake. He tells Redson that it was fake and a part of Red is relieved but MK's heart drops the way his exited hair extinguishes and his face drops.
he apologises and says Mei wasthe one who planned it (red is goign to burn her alive) but Mk also says just how much he appreciates and loves Red's determination to make that experience perfect.
"i think i fell in love all over again" holds reds face in his hands and pulls him close

Then afterwards Mei has a fie demon on her hands and Mk gets a copy of the recording. maybe one day in the future they can watch this with thier future family and laugh.
