Her eyes glanced up from the words from her story to the small and light commotion that came from her lover as he paced back and forth in the middle of the living room. She had to admit it was rather amusing, but the look that seemed to mirror distress that crossed his features told her that a smile wouldn’t be the best choice at his brewing pain.

“Min?” She spoke after closing her book and placing it beside her. Her soft voice caused him to pause his pacing to look up at her with curious brows. “You’re mumbling and pacing. Is everything ok?”

It was clear he could hear the worry in her voice. His shoulders that seemed paused in a stressed stance fell allowing his arms to hang loosely at his sides as his eyes held uncertainty.

“Did Sehun send you another short joke again-?” Though it would be funny to see the type of joke he sent, she knew there was something wrong with her lover. Normally he doesn’t pace around mumbling under his breath if something wasn’t bothering him. She took his silence as something more. So she sat back attempting to think of anything that could be such an issue for her lover.

Then it dawned on her. And boy did she hate just how long it took. She bit her lip as her e/c eyes revealed it all to her boyfriend who seemed a bit relieved that he wasn’t stressing over unknown things. It was partially (fully) her fault.

It was never her full intention to leave her side of the bathroom a mess. It wouldn’t have been her fault per se if she didn’t sleep through her alarm and run late for a very important work meeting before her week-long break. If she didn’t sleep through her alarm then maybe she would have such a distressed boyfriend pacing around like the end of the world was going to happen in the next ten minutes.

She frowned almost knowing what he wanted exactly. She wanted to protest. Almost started a riot as he stood there silently, his eyes saying it all. And all she could do was sigh.

The mix between her body aching and the feeling of wanting to get the stench of the cleaner off of her skin despite the twenty-minute shower had her wishing today didn’t go the way it did, but alas, it did. And she spent the past few hours of her life scrubbing down the whole apartment because her boyfriend wanted a cleaning day because of her simple mess. It was certainly not how she envisioned to kick her first day off.

The couch felt more comforting than the floor did or standing on her feet for hours trying to clean off a certain surface until it was sparkling. She loved her boyfriend. Truly she did. But there were times where he tested her patience. Such as today.

If one small thing was dirty and he saw it, it would eat away at him and stress him out until he fixed it. She thought nothing was exactly wrong with her small little cluster. But oh boy did he almost spazz out when he saw it.

The couch dipped beside her prompting her to close her eyes that closed just seconds after her back hit the back of the couch. To her right, she saw her boyfriend get comfortable then wrapped his arms around her pulling her close.

“We make the best team,” He uttered his lips kissing her head. She could immediately tell he was in a much better mood with the energy he was radiating.

“Min, we cleaned the entire house for four hours.” She tried to emphasize her disapproval for how long it took them to clean up. That, and the single fact that he dragged her in to help him stating, “We live together. The faster we work the faster we can relax.”. If she would’ve known he was busting out the chemicals she would’ve taken her purse and bid him a farewell.

He gave her a look that showed he was apologetic but grateful that she hadn’t just walked out and had him clean the whole place himself. Soon he chuckled his lips once again connecting to her head.

“How about I make it up to you. I’ll make you your favorite.”

“Now that is something I can get behind. Say you’ll do the dishes and I might just forgive you for making my day off a cleaning day.”

“Deal.”
