Dear Son,

Sometimes--- not all the time but sometimes when in your presence I feel like such an annoyance and it’s not because of anything you’ve said, but the fact that maybe there are things that I do coming off too strongly in my affection of treating you as though you are my real son. For that I’m sorry, sorry for pushing, or invading boundaries. You’re not perfect, but then again not a damn soul around here is “perfect”; but to me you’re pretty damn close in your own way. It’s not because I look at you as some flawless heroic being either, but because I think of you as though you’re my real son. There’s nothing you can do to ever cause my love for you to waver, or any disappointment to come. Not to say that I’m accepting or agreeing to all the things that you’ve done and said, or might do and say. But a parent’s love--- in my eyes is forever.(cont...)

Many a day do I find myself wishing so much that I’d been there by your side throughout your life. Wishing that you were indeed /my/ son, and even though you’re not a part of me by flesh and blood you’re still a part of me. I’m proud of you Ko, yes I am proud that. Why; because you’re still pushing on even when you’ve been through so much more than a normal dork, like myself, could even imagine. So do you just mind if I pretend that you are really and truly? My only wish for you: is your happiness. For labels that aren’t you to be pushed on you and expected of you and for you to just always be able to be you. Your headbutts are the best by the way! And reading over that it sounds really weird to say, but whenever you give one to me or anyone I think it’s how you should you care for someone. Stepping back now before I push you more away from me than bring you in. I’m really sorry again, but thank you so much for giving the me the honor of claiming you as my son, one of my children.
